We would love all Crofties to enter our “decorate a stocking” competition. Stocking templates will be available from outside the school office and we would love you to be as creative as you can with decorating your own! Paint, draw, collage or even use the template to make one from fabric! Father Christmas is going to be in school to judge them and there will be prizes for the best ones. All the stockings that are entered will be display over the festive period in the school hall as well!

Come along and join us for a relaxing evening of painting and socialising. Create your own festive piece of artwork, learn a new skill (or develop one you already have!) all in the company of fellow Croftie parents, carers, family and friends. For £30, you'll enjoy drinks, fesfive treats, all the materials you need (canvas and paints), and a lovely Poinseftia plant to take home!

As part of our learning this term, centered around the key question, ‘What is the most significant part of the Nativity story for Christians?’, we will be visiting Christ Church in Old Town. Children will walk to and from the church. We are in need of parent volunteers to assist during this visit. If you are able to help, please complete this FORM to express your interest.
There will be two performances at The Ridgeway School to enable all parents to watch their child perform in their carol concert. Children to wear Christmas Jumpers with uniform boftoms. (Black trousers / skirts)
Further informafion of how to purchase fickets for the performances will be sent in due course. The Croft Choir will be walking to Ashbury Lodge Care Home to take part in a performance for the residents. If your child is part of the choir, please fill in this FORM to give permission for your child to aftend.

We would love Parents and Carers to join the whole school just after drop off in the morning for our very own Santa Dash. Run, walk or stroll - the idea is just to be there and have fun with all of our Crofties. Term 2 Calendar of Events
Reporfing Your Child's Absence:
You must inform the school office if your child will be absent from school before 8 30am and on a daily basis Absences can be reported by either emailing admin@thecroft.swindon.sch.uk or calling 430084. When emailing, should you wish to copy in your child's class teacher please do so, however the school office records all absences and as a mafter of safeguarding if you have not informed the office, you will be chased for aftendance unnecessarily. Unfortunately, teachers do not always have fime in the morning to pass on messages received by parents.
Medical Appointments:
If your child has a medical appointment during the school day, please email the office in advance, so that we can mark their aftendance accordingly and make a note that they will be either in later, leaving early or absent during part of the day.
Booking School Dinners:
Deadline to book school dinners is midnight Tuesday, a week in advance. If you forget to book lunch for your child, you will need to send them into school with a packed lunch for that week. Unfortunately, the office cannot process late lunch bookings. Menus and Allergen informafion can be found on our website.
Afterschool Clubs:
Booking informafion for Afterschool Clubs are sent out at the end of each term for the following term. All our afterschool clubs with the excepfion of Dance are externally run clubs. You can also find the booking informafion on our website.
Music Lessons:
We have some external companies who come into the school and offer 1-2-1 music lessons for guitar, piano, trumpet, drums and violin. If you are interested in your child learning an instrument then all the contact details of the external companies we use can be found on the Croft website.
Polite Reminders:
We have noficed an increase in the number of items being brought in late for children. To help build your child's independence, we kindly ask that all necessary belongings, such as packed lunches, coats, books, bags, and water boftles, are brought with them at the start of the school day. Your support in helping your child remember these items in the mornings is greatly appreciated.
Addifionally, please ensure that all your child's belongings are clearly labeled This will greatly assist in returning lost items to their righfful owner, should they be misplaced.
