An Introduction to Safeguarding and Child Protection for Community Groups Wednesday 23 January 2013 1pm-4pm Cost: Free (criteria apply) Venue: Central Brighton “A good training that covered all my queries and has given me more confidence to work with children and be active in their protection and safety” “Many thanks for an informative and sensitively presented programme.” This course is an introduction to safeguarding and child protection for people working in small community groups. You will gain a basic understanding of your role in establishing a safe environment and safe working practices in protecting children and young people from harm and abuse. This course offers the opportunity for discussions and debates and a sensitive platform for raising questions and issues. A certificate of attendance is issued and participants are signposted to further training and support.
