he Honeybee program is designed for pre-kindergarten age children. Keeping this age group in mind, weekly themes are specifically designed for a fun, relaxing summer while still implementing academics into the framework. This program aims to support children’s social, emotional, and academic development. Children must be toilet trained to attend.

“Party in the USA”
June 20–24 All aboard! Join us for a wild ride on land, sea, and in the sky. Young children are fascinated with machines, especially those that serve as transportation. Children will have the opportunity to become the captain or conductor in a dramatic play environment. Not only will we focus on these jobs, we will also explore the basic mechanics of these modes of transportation.
June 27–July 1 Reptiles have captured the imaginations of children for ages. Whether it be the craggy texture of the alligator’s hide or the raucous croak of the frog, reptiles have unique characteristics that set them apart from other creatures in the animal kingdom. We will focus on a few of the more popular reptiles like alligators, lizards, frogs, snakes, and turtles during this exciting animalcentered week.
July 5–July 8 (No camp Monday, July 4) This popular song sets the tone for the week as we celebrate all things America! Children will learn about popular American traditions centered around the Fourth of July, sing songs, and create art that showcases the diversity of our beautiful country.

July 11–15 Sometimes our bodies simply need to move! Children will enjoy a week filled with songs, dance, instruments, and music making. This week is sure to have your child dancing to the beat of their own drum!
July 18–22 The world around us is full of shapes, patterns, and colors. This fun-filled math week will help children recognize common shapes, like circles, squares, and triangles! Learning shapes is a great foundation for basic math skills that children will carry with them as they grow.
July 25–29 Imaginations take flight! Campers will celebrate their creativity this week, as they explore art in the natural world. We will read books about nature and create with materials we find outside, as we gather inspiration from the trees, rocks, and sky all around campus.

O
ur Stingerbee summer program provides eight weeks of exciting learning opportunities. Campers expand their imaginations and knowledge through a variety of enriching, academic-based, hands-on activities. The focus of the weekly themes is having fun in a relaxed summertime atmosphere. The afternoon program is an extension of the morning weekly themes. Afternoons include exciting enrichment programs centered on arts, science and sports. Swimming takes place two days per week at nearby Losantiville Country Club. Children are transported by The Seven Hills School bus.

A whole week of fossils and archeological adventures will be sure to spark your child’s interest in the prehistoric world. Children will work on their fine motor skills while digging in the dirt and will enhance their gross motor skills when stomping around like tyrannosaurus rexes and brontosauruses! Music connects us to one another, and to the world. Campers will explore popular jazz and children’s music, and even the instruments that make the melodies. This week will include a special performance from local musicians.
Let’s exercise our minds and do some early math learning! During this fun week, we will work on foundational skills to get kids ready for the school year. This week will help your children count, recognize shapes and patterns, and more!
Get ready for the new school year! Brush up on reading, writing, and math activities each day. We will help you get back into the school routine with small group activities as well as oneon-one instruction.
For this final week of the summer, we have planned an exciting sampler that’s sure to be the highlight of your child’s summer. We have planned a lineup of activities and visitors, including animal experts, naturalists from local parks, art specialists, and scientists! ith our Create Your Summer format, children may select specific enrichment programs to pursue their interests or discover new ones. Our age-appropriate group offerings share many of the same features of our school — they’re hands-on, adventure packed, creative, and offer a rich array of activities throughout the summer.
Animated Adventures: Characters and Creations June 13-17 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. grades 2-6 Instructor: Stephanie Tiller Camp snapshot: Children will watch popular animated film clips, create crafts and games based on films, draw new characters, and create stories based on popular Disney heroes and heroines. Camp snapshot: Kids will work on a variety of projects using about 40 photos from home. Activities may include creating photo albums, calendars, and party decorations using paper, stickers, and other embellishments.
Camp snapshot: Tennis Clinic will offer activities focusing on improving the skill level of each player by working on groundstrokes, hand-eye coordination, serves, volleys, and footwork. Children will gain knowledge of the sport through practice and a variety of drills and games to improve fundamental skills. Participants provide their own rackets.

Vintage Roadshow: Exploring Vintage Cincinnati June 13–17 | 12:30–3:30 p.m. grades 2-6 Instructor: Kristin Suer Camp snapshot: Beginning by creating a budget, children will plan what they will buy at local vintage and thrift stores, with the ultimate goal of creating a window display to showcase at the end of the week. During this busy week, campers will learn about the value of vintage items and their unique history. Printmaking
Secret Cincinnati
Camp snapshot: This week campers will learn the art of printmaking, first by creating a template and then reproducing the template on different materials. To create fine art prints, several types of printmaking will be explored, including silk screen, relief, and etching techniques.
Camp snapshot: Campers will explore Cincinnati’s hidden gems, such as Music Hall, Cincinnati Museum Center, and Eden Park! We will also spend time learning about historic and unique places in Cincinnati and some of the famous people who put Cincinnati on the map.

June 20–24 | 12:30-3:30 p.m. grades 2-6 Instructor: Queen City Pollinator Project Camp snapshot: Children will learn about beneficial insects that can be found in our own backyards and ways we can protect them! We will also cover experiments testing seed flight, how to become a ladybug scientist, and more! This class will teach campers how to be better environmental leaders and help them learn about the ways our ecosystems are changing due to the impacts of modern human activities. Go Local! June 20-24 | 12:30-3:30 p.m. grades 2-6 Instructor: Elliot Glum Camp snapshot: Local organizations within our city have worked hard to continue to serve the Cincinnati community during these unprecedented times. All the places we will visit will have a central purpose, whether that be giving back, creating handmade products, featuring art made by local artists, or even working with local parks. During this weeklong session, third through fifth grade girls will build friendships in a fun and nurturing setting that includes interactive games, physical activity, expressing creativity through arts and crafts, and storytelling. The week will include author and book studies as well as book themed activities, art projects, and practice writing prompts. Students will be exposed to a variety of lifetime sports and activities, as well as stress-release fitness exercises. Yoga and pilates will be incorporated throughout the curriculum, as well as self-defense. Fast Facts Summer 2022 Registration: To register for Summer Program classes, visit 7hills.org/Summer. After you register, the following forms will be sent to you via email • Emergency Medical Form • Immunization Form (Honeybee program only) • Authorized Pick Up Form • Swimming Authorization Form (Stingerbee program only) • Emergency Action Plan (if applicable)
All forms must be submitted prior to the program start date.
Payment: A $50 per program deposit is due at the time of registration. All deposits are nonrefundable. You may pay via credit card or check.
Early Registration: February to April, with final payment due May 1, 2022 Late Registration: May to August. Full payment due upon registration
If payment is not received by above dates, your child may lose their spot.
Location and Field Trips: Most programs are held on The Seven Hills School’s
Hillsdale Campus at 5400 Red Bank Road. For programming that takes place off site, permission slips will be required. Certified van and bus drivers transport children for all off-site programs.
Placement Requests: We are unable to accept requests for placement in a particular Honeybee, Stingerbee, or Create Your Summer group.
Cancellation: Programs may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment by
Seven Hills up to two weeks prior the program start date. In this instance, a full refund will be issued, including the $50 deposit. Families may cancel their Summer Program enrollment up to two weeks prior to the start date and receive a full refund minus the $50 deposit. If the cancellation occurs within two weeks of the first day of camp, both the program fee and deposit will be forfeit.
Discount: A 5% discount applies if your child is registered for four or more weeks per summer.
Waitlist: Many popular programs have waitlists. If a space becomes available, you will be notified via email. You will have 36 hours to respond before the space is offered to another family.
Allergies: Children with food allergies must provide their own lunch. Allergies must be discussed with the Summer Program director.
If allergies are listed on the required medical form, we require an EAP (Emergency Action Plan) on file and epinephrine auto-injector, if needed.
COVID Protocols: We have a camp nurse available for all COVID-19
