The rainbow pool is made of granite and bronze. It is an attractive pool of fountains and that are adorned by the branches of the military.




The memorial sits about 6 feet tall (2 meters) and includes 56 identical white pillars.




The Freedom Wall is 9 feet tall and decorated with 4,043 gold stars. There used to be all blue stars for every person that fought in World War II. Every gold star represents 100 people that fought and died in WWII.




The Memorial is 337 feet long and 240 feet wide.




The Memorial was designed in 2001.It opened in 2004. This is the design of the memorial before it was built.




It cost a total 175 million dollars to build the memorial.



