Creative Dance for 7-9 year olds Saturdays 1.15-2.30pm From 12 Jan - 30 Mar (No classes on 9 Feb)

Using music, drama and story telling, these young dancers learn to work together to make dances, stretching imaginations as well as bodies. This is a fun and creative class for all young dancers. ÂŁ44/36 concession for 11 sessions or ÂŁ66 for 2 in same family

Creative Dance for 9-11 year olds Saturdays 11.30-12.45pm From 12 Jan - 30 Mar (No classes on 9 Feb)

This class is ideal for young dancers interested in exploring new moves through dance. Our young dancers are encouraged to contribute their own choreographic ideas whilst learning new moves and performance skills.

Youth Dance Company for ages 12+ Wednesdays 6.30-8pm 9 Jan - 27 Mar Using dance to express ideas, dramatically and physically, the Youth Dance Company works hard studying Contemporary Dance techniques, choreography and performance skills. On Thu 31st Jan, Youth dance Company will perform thier piece Abstract Conversations at Go Dance 13 at Theatre Royal in Glasgow. £54 /£43 concession for 12 sessions (£81 for 2 dancers in the same family)

Do Your Thing! Saturdays 10-11am From 12 Jan - 30 Mar (No classes on 9 Feb)

Fun, creative classes where everyone - aged 8 and over, with and without wheelchairs. Sessions are led by experienced tutors, giving you the chance to learn more about how your body moves and get the most out of dance. No dance experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm! Pay on the Day, £4 per session

Adult Contemporary Dance Technique Tuesdays 6.30–8pm From 8 Jan– 26 Mar Contemporary Dance Technique Class is ideal for adults with some previous dance experience but beginners are welcome. This class uses technical exercises and sequences to build strength and flexibility. £54 / £43 concession for 12 sessions or Pay on the Day £6.50/£5 concession

Scottish Dance Theatre Dance Classes are taught by a fully trained, experienced dance tutors with a Support Worker also participating. The dance studios have great dance floors and mirrors and there are accessible toilets and changing rooms next door. Classes have limited capacity to ensure everyone has the best experience so we suggest you book in advance.

New participants can try the first class for free before paying for the term on the second week. If you want to attend any of our classes but cannot afford to, apply to our Hardship Fund. Write a short paragraph about why you want to attend and how you think the classes would benefit you. Performing Throughout the year, some groups will get opportunities to perform at dierent events. In the past year this has included: The Great Big Dance Show at Dundee Rep, the Olympic Torch Relay, Dundee Dance Walk, Dundee Christmas Light Night, Holocaust Mermorial Day, Scottish Learning Festival, International Day of Disabled People, Scottish Connections Festival in Stirling and Go Dance at Theatre Royal in Glasgow.


SDT Masterclasses Over the course of the term SDT hosts masterclasses with dance artists from around the world. In 2012 guest teachers such as Sean Feldman (Release Technique), Joviar Longo (Contact Impro), Cristina Medina and Sonia Rodriguez (contemporary) and SDT dancers past and present have taught classes aiming to improve technique and perhaps introduce you to something new!
