Call out for artists of all disciplines to set up and run a ‘creativity lab’ for visitors to the Scottish Learning Festival at SECCon 21 and 22 September 2011. The overall theme of the festival is Digital.
Artists are invited to submit ideas to engageSLFvisitors (i.e Teachers, Local Authority Education Staff, Primary and Secondary pupils etc) in participating in a creative process(es). The resulting artworks will contribute to the overall transformation of the stall at SLF. Key elements:

Participatory approaches
•
Give teachers practical tools and ideas to take back to the classroom
•
Highlight how working with creative professionals can support interdisciplinary learning in the classroom
•
Crossart form approach, incorporating elements of film, video, dance, theatre, visual arts etc.
•
Artists have good understanding and recent experience of working within schools
•
Explores a variety of ways to engage (live, virtually, through GLOWetc)
Artists will be selected to participate by the artform networks group organising this stall, using the key elements above as criterion. Pleasehighlight any suggestions you have in engaging people which may require additional support (BSLInterpreter, Captioning, Support Workers etc) All resulting work must be made available for use by Creative Scotland and LTSfor broadcast, GLOWMeets and video and any other recording media. The total fee offered is £5000which includes all planning, travel costs and materials etc. Set up on Tues 20 September and break down on Thurs 22 September.
