Creative Dance for Children For ages 6 - 8 and 9 -11 year olds
Children have fun whilst gaining confidence through learning new moves with positive and encouraging teaching by our experienced tutors. TERM DATES: Saturdays from 19 April to 21 June TIMES: Ages 6 - 8: 1.15 - 2.30pm/Ages 9-11: 11.30 -12.45pm PRICE: £42/£35 concession for 10 sessions or £63 for 2 in the same family.
Do Your Thing!
Fun, accessible class for all Explore how to get the most out of dance, individually and in groups. No previous experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm. The class welcomes people with and without disabilities; please call Dawn on 01382 342 600 to discuss access needs. Youth Dance Company For ages 12+
This friendly and focused Company is regularly invited to perform across Scotland. New dancers are welcomed, with or without previous experience. Participants study Contemporary Dance Technique and Performance skills. TERM DATES: Wednesdays from 16 April to 25 June TIME: 6.30 - 8.30pm PRICE: £52/£38.50 concession for 11 sessions or £78 for 2 in the same family.
Adult Contemporary Dance For ages 14+
Technical exercises and sequences are taught to build strength, co-ordination and flexibility. Ideal for people with previous dance experience. TERM DATES: Tuesdays from 15 April to 17 June TIME: 6.30 - 8pm PRICE: £47.50/£35 concession for 10 sessions or pay on the day £6.50/£5 concession

Dancing Together Under 5's with their adults
An hour long movement and dance session developing rhythm, co-ordination and confidence and a great way to bond with your wee one, niece, nephew, granddaughter or grandson having fun! Get Scotland dancing 71 Dancers Thanks to a Celebrate Award, here’s a great opportunity for young people with and without previous dance experience to perform in informal settings, outdoors and at major theatre venues across Scotland! Working with young dancers from Argyll, Aberdeen, Stirling and Scottish Dance Theatre's Youth Dance Company in Dundee, participants travel to each others’ areas and create a brand new dance work directed by Joan Cleville (formerly of Scottish Dance Theatre). Dates and how to apply: from 5pm on Friday 30 May to 8pm on Sunday 1 June (in Lochgilphead, Argyll) from 5pm on 6 June to 8pm on Sunday 8 June (in Citymoves, Aberdeen) from 10am on Friday 20 June until 10pm on Sunday 22 June (mixed locations) Cost: £100. Some free places will be available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise so please don’t let concerns about the cost put you off applying. PARK Sunday 6 July 2014, all day Free! City Square, Dundee For 24 hours only, a Linbury Prize winning design transforms Dundee’s City Square into a lively and visually-stunning pop-up park. We invite everyone aged 0 –99 to join the party for a day-long festival, featuring live performances by worldclass musicians, artists, and performers. Bring a picnic and spend the day with us – this event is not to be missed!
Attending our classes All our classes are held at Dundee Rep Theatre, Tay Square, Dundee, DD1 1PB.
Please arrive at Dundee Rep Theatre 10-15 minutes before your class is due to start. You will be met by one of our fully trained support workers in the foyer. The support worker attached to your session will take the register, take payments if you pay weekly, escort groups to and from our dance studio and help you with any questions you may have. Please wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely. Shoes aren’t allowed to be worn in the dance studio so you can either wear soft dance shoes or dance in bare feet. There are both male and female changing rooms next to the dance studio should you need them.

Protection of children & vulnerable people Scottish Dance Theatre runs a strict child protection policy. All teachers and support workers have the appropriate checks.
Photography We sometimes take photos of our classes and workshops for marketing purposes. Permission will be sought by Scottish Dance Theatre beforehand.
Spectators We do not usually allow spectators as it can put those dancing off.

is for everyone and want to bring as many people, from all walks of life, into contact with dance. Dundee Rep is fully accessible to wheelchair users, and our dance studio is open to everyone.
