International Pathways to the Profession Symposium Why are there so few disabled artists on our stage and screens? Who is nurturing the growth of the next generation of disabled artists? If you have an interest in exploring the issues inhibiting the inclusion of physically and sensory disabled people in the performing arts, don’t miss this two day Symposium led by Scottish Dance Theatre. Working in partnership with Creative Scotland, Dundee Rep Theatre, The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama and the Federation of Scottish Theatre this event will bring people together to share and learn. Who is it for? Disabled artists, producers, arts industry employers, performing arts training providers/organisations, policy makers, directors, performers, artists, dancers, musicians, emerging dance and theatre makers, performing arts lecturers. You? What will it include? Engaging and provoking keynote speeches and panel presentations by leaders in the fields of arts and disability Networking, discussions, debates Live performances, stories, artistic interventions, music, food and so much more....... Why? To question, reflect, inform, motivate, galvanise and create the future landscape of equality in the arts in Scotland, UK and internationally and to further strategic thinking about how best to achieve a shared vision.
