Born and raised within a few miles of Boston, Cohen attended private schools m the city and, after attending a ew York college for a time, graduated from Boston University. Though Cohen has grown into a formidable force in Boston real estate, his climb up the real es ate ladder started slow. He earned his broker's license after college but firs started a manufacturing business dealing with industri and consumer products. He did it knowing that eventually he would move to selling properties in Bos on, as his pas ion was real estafe, but he needed a predictable income for his family In the early years. By the time Cohen's company had been bought ou , it had grown from hve people in a garage to 300 employees across hree locations. Despite such exponential growth, he m ntained a presence in every aspect of the business, making sure that when problems arose they'd be quickly solved. Cohen says the years he spent running his own business gave him invaluable markebng experience, as well as experience dealing with intcmation and domestic clients, vendors, consumers, employees, banks and government agencies. It's where he developed his keen ability to discern the needs and wants of his clients, as well as find solutions o challenges keeping hem fro their end goals. After selling his company, Cohen says many Boston brokerages were reluctant to take him on. He didn� have much experience buying or selling real estate. 'The Century 21 F,n Homes and Estates office saw value in me and what I had accomplished and gave me a chance,' he says. "Within my first s months, I had sold $10 million worth of properties, and was the No. 1 or within top three agen s for five consecutive years in the region.' Cohen and his team are determined to service all their clients' needs, whe¡ er buyer or seller, lo the highest fiduciary level of r sponsibility. When s rving sellers, he subscribes to what he calls 'The Three Ps'. 'I believe in presenting the property to the highest level, pricing the property according to market, and promoting, promoting, promoting,' he says.
