This dynamic community group of adults is dedicated to interactive, expository teaching that emphasizes the life-changing application of the scriptures. They also offer opportunities for fellowship, accountability, service and social activities. This summer, from June 19 to September 4, we will be viewing and discussing the David Jeremiah video series on prophecy, “Agents of Babylon.” All are welcome! Do you understand the big picture of Scripture? In this study, you’ll explore the main theme of the Bible, the unifying principle of God’s Word, and how it all fits together. Join with people of all ages and life stages who are committed to growing deeper in our relationship with Jesus and others through regular study of God’s Word, accountability, service and fellowship. In this threeweek class led by Pastor Bryan McAnally, you will learn about the Bible, how to read it to foster your identity, and how to read it to fuel your faith. In this four-week verse-by-verse journey through the Old Testament Book of Ruth led by Pastor Bryan McAnally, discover how this epic story of love and redemption foreshadows the work of Jesus Christ. Dress a Girl Around the World provides dresses made from pillowcases to girls in need around the globe. This group meets monthly to sew dresses for our mission teams to give to girls in orphanages. Even if you don’t sew, you can help with other tasks like cutting, or by donating new/gently used pillowcases and decorative extras. 9

CHRISTIAN CHAPLAINCY CERTIFICATION MINISTRY Leaders: Pastor Darien Bennett & Scottsdale Bible Pastoral Staff

The Heart-to-Heart Christian Chaplaincy Certification program is a formal and intense study that includes a 12-week theological module, a 10-week pastoral ministry module, and an 8-week ministry leadership module. Candidates must apply in advance, submit a pastor’s reference, and make a commitment to serve when certification is complete. The next group will begin on Thursday, August 25.

Each weekend, children (birth-4th grade) experience interactive learning in their classrooms and engaging large group time. Submerged takes kids on an adventure like no other, deep within the mysterious sea. As kids submerge themselves in God’s Word, they will discover that Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside of people—He looked deep down on the inside. Kids will learn five amazing Bible stories that will help them understand the people who Jesus saw and knew. They’ll also sing and worship at The Helm, learn Bible stories at Observation Station, and have fun with deep sea crafts and games. Parent-child dedications are a special opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their children in a Christ-centered home. The ceremony features a blessing over the child that includes a prayer created and read aloud by the parent(s). Get ready for an action-packed weekend, 3rd and 4th graders! We’ll travel to Prescott, where we will enjoy two days full of Olympic-spirited fun and adventure. Cost is $190. Baptism is offered to children in elementary school or older who have made a decision to accept Christ as their Savior. Baptisms take place during worship services periodically throughout the year, and we encourage families to participate together. MISSIONS & ME FAMILY MISSION TRIP July 26–31

Families of 1st-4th graders will be traveling to La Paz, a city on the Baja Peninsula of Mexico, to host a Vacation Bible School for the community. This is a great opportunity for families to serve together. Share your life with a refugee youth by simply having fun together and being a friend to him or her. These kids need someone to make them feel special and help them as they transition from refugee camps to living life in the U.S. Training and ongoing support is provided. ARMENIA: MENâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;S CONSTRUCTION TEAM Armenia was the first sovereign nation to adopt Christianity in 301 AD, but now face a severe economic recession, high unemployment and rampant poverty. Young Life Armenia provides safe camp experiences where kids can meet and learn about Jesus. They use a facility that was formerly a Young Pioneer communism camp for kids before the fall of the Soviet Union and Armeniaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s independence in 1991. The abandoned camp has taken on a new life, and although the existing structures are in disrepair, most are still stable enough to be renovated. Join this construction team to help rebuild the camp and provide more space for kids who are clamoring for the opportunity to get away from the pressures they face in everyday life. Leader:

SPAIN: CAMINO DE SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA According to legend, the bones of Saint James are buried in a cathedral in the town of Santiago de Compostela, and it has been a pilgrimage site since the 9th century. Even today, pilgrims make this trek, some hiking hundreds of miles through Spain, and many seeking a spiritual experience. Along the trails are refuges for pilgrims to stay overnight. Fuente del Peregrino is one such refuge run by Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru). This short-term team will provide hospitality and “gentle evangelism” in order to present the gospel to many whose hearts are open on this pilgrimage. Leader:

EGYPT: CAIRO FESTIVAL Along the desert highway between Cairo and Alexandria, more than 30,000 Egyptians will gather for the Count It Right Sports Festival this year. Hosted by Kasr El Dobara Church, the festival is full of activities during the day, with a ropes course, basketball, soccer, other sports, and professional athletes giving demonstrations and their testimonies. In the evenings, the crowds gather for a gospel message, praise and worship. Each year, thousands receive Christ and are followed up by the local churches. Be a part of this team to help with the various activities for adults and children at this amazing event. Side trips to the pyramids and the Nile are included. Leader:
