Did you know that we have everything you want to know or need to know on our website to help you create your submittal for architectural approval? On the main website page www. scottsdaleranch.org, there is a red, white and blue house logo that says “Plan My Project”. Just click on this picture and it will take you to the architectural page. I will help break it down for you.

In the first section, you can access the Architectural Rules and Guidelines, the architectural application and the Dumpster/ POD/Portable Restroom application. These are the main items people look for on the website. However, if you go further, you will find that you will become well prepared to create a submittal that can be processed easily without the need for follow up questions.

This section is followed by the ever-popular Neighborhood Character Studies. We have them for many of the communities. These Character Studies are an amazing asset to help you know what Architectural elements exist in your community. It helps to guide you to understand the theme of your individual commuThe next section, project checklists is so very important. The project checklists supplied here will help you create a focused and complete submittal so it can be processed efficiently and expediently. You will find that in every list, we require a picture of your home as seen from across the street. Yes, it is all outlined in the checklists. We have almost every project created in a checklist to help you create your complete submittal.

The paint project checklist is magic! If you click on the word “Paint” a world of information opens up for you. We have the Dunn Edwards and the Sherwin Williams links so you can see all the color palettes for the single-family subdivisions and the various sub associations of Scottsdale Ranch. When you decide that you want to paint your home, did you know that you are required to submit for approval even if you are using the same colors? Please be aware that some colors are no longer available and are not grandfathered. Yes, the process requires submittal to Scottsdale Ranch Community Association first for approval and then submit for the approval of the sub association, if applicable.

The more information you give us with your architectural application, the easier and quicker we can have a decision. Some applications can be approved on a staff level and can have a quicker turn around. Others that must go to the SRCA Architectural Committee, require you to submit a minimum of two weeks prior to the committee meeting date. These dates are available on our website.
