Location Kilcully Scout Centre, Co. Cork

3. Cost • €15 per staff member • Camping fees • All meals • Staff necker 4. Description

Successful applicants will be assigned a role in one of the following teams. Below is a brief description of each team Sub Camp staff • Must be aware that they will need to camp at the base of their assigned sub camp • Will be responsible for the health care and well being of their sub camp, checking in with teams through the event Data entry • Entering score sheets using excel • Assisting with registration on Saturday morning Logistical team • Ensuring all attendees including Scouters and parents’ vehicles arrive on site and are parked correctly • Ensure all vans and trailers move onto the event field and are removed before the opening ceremony and again on Sunday morning before closing ceremony • Assist with day time traffic flow exiting and entering the Scout centre Programme • Assisting with the new Interactive Quiz including set up and take down • Assisting with day time fun programme Judging • Judging camp craft element including  Uniform and bag inspection  Cooking  All aspect of camp craft


First Aid • Must have relevant and in date for first aid certificate • Copy of certificate will need to be provided Staff Catering • Provide hot meals for all staff from Friday dinner to Sunday Lunch • Full catering kitchen provided Campfire Chief • To provide a campfire experience to celebrate the amazing work completed by the cubs and their scouters. • There are no skits or judging at the NCC22 campfire, this campfire is a celebration.

NOTE: staff will be assigned to 1 main role but may be asked to fill in minor roles in teams that additional bodies for short periods throughout the event.

5. How to apply 4.a – Venture staff • Venture staff must be Garda Vetted before June 17th OR current Garda Vetting must be in date up to and including June 19th 2022 • Venture staff must have turned 16 yrs old in order to apply for Garda Vetting • Venture staff must be no older than 17yrs old and 364 days up to and including June 19th 2022 • If you’re turning 18yrs old before June 17th 2022 you must apply as Scouter/Rover staff. See below • Venture staff must inform their Group Leader of attendance • Venture staff must bring a valid Consent form, which will be emailed if your application is successful • The application for Venture staff can be found here • Closing date 31st March 2022 4.b – Rover/Scouter staff • You cannot apply for staff if your Cubs are taking part in the event and you’re being counted as either Scouter attending with the team. • Rover/Scouter staff must be Garda Vetted and have completed the relevant Safeguarding training • Both Garda Vetting and Safeguarding must be in date at the time of application and up to and including June 19th 2022 • The application for Rover/Scouter staff can be found here • Closing date 31st March 2022
