Dear fellow Scouter, We hope you, your family and your Scout Group are doing well during this national crisis. We are so heartened to see all the wonderful initiatives you and your fellow Scouters are doing during this time to keep scouting and the great work you and your Scout Group are doing to support our communities during this time. Please keep sharing all your wonderful efforts with us and by using the hashtag #ScoutsHelpingOut Further to all these wonderful efforts, I would respectfully encourage that your Beaver Scout and Cub Scout sections take a part in another great initiative to bring some joy and happiness to those in need at this time. Scouting Irelands Task Force has asked that all Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts would make Easter Cards for the residents of their local nursing home. Please CLICK HERE for further information. This is not only a great initiative for those that will receive the cards, but also for our youngest members who get to do something tangible for their community at this time. As our adult Scouters and Rovers sign up around the country for either the Community Response or as support in their own localities, this special initiative allows our younger members to do their part. So, let's get them drawing. Your own support in the logistics of this is highly appreciated. In following the guidelines set out by our Project Team, you are ensuring the safety of those that will receive the cards, but also the safety and wellbeing of our Beavers and Cubs. I would like to thank you all at this time for the effort you are all making in continuing to Scout during this difficult time, demonstrating that as Scouts we always strive to do our best. I wish you, your families and your Groups all the best at this time. Stay safe and stay well. Yours in Scouting,
