Scouting Ireland is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join a Crisis Management Project Team. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals who are passionate about crisis response, risk management, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our members.

As an organisation committed to providing a safe and secure environment for young people involved in scouting, it is essential that we have a robust crisis management system in place. The Crisis Management Project Team will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving crisis response protocols and procedures, as well as providing guidance and support to Scouting Ireland's leadership during times of crisis.

Responsibilities

• Update the current Draft Terms of Reference

• Develop a comprehensive crisis management plan tailored to the unique needs and challenges of Scouting Ireland.

• Identify potential crisis scenarios and create appropriate response strategies.

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including national and local leadership, to ensure effective communication and coordination during crises.

• Establish clear lines of communication and reporting structures within the crisis management team.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and update crisis management procedures accordingly.

• Provide training and education to Scouting Ireland's volunteers and staff on crisis response and emergency preparedness.

• Coordinate and participate in crisis simulations and drills to test the effectiveness of response protocols.

• Monitor and evaluate crisis management activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis management, emergency response, or a related field.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

• Familiarity with the scouting movement and its organisational structure is desirable but not mandatory.
