Bream Abramis brama

The Common Bream inhabits slow-flowing rivers, lowland lakes, canals and ponds. It feeds, usually in schools on the river bed, swimming slowly over the bottom in a head-down oblique stance, using its protrusile mouth to pick up insect larvae,worms, and molluscs. There average length is 40-50cm. Best fished between May - June and September October bait options include worms, maggots and fish balls.
