Share the information sheets with your Beaver and Cub Scouts parents/guardians – CLICK HERE Please contact your local Nursing Home or Care home to ask which way (physical/electronic) they would like the cards delivered - CLICK HERE to find your local Nursing Home If by physical delivery you will need to arrange a collection point for the cards to be dropped too, it may be a box outside the den or a large envelope at the local shop. All cards need to be collected by 7pm on Wednesday 8th April
Please check each card to ensure no personal details disclosed on the card It should have a cheerful, appropriate Happy Easter greeting, Beaver or Cubs first name only and Scout Group name. Please wear protective gloves, put the cards into a large tied plastic bag after checking. Keep it safe (do not touch the cards during this time) before delivering to the Nursing Home on Easter Saturday 11th April If by electronical delivery you could facilitate this by asking parents to email photos of the cards to you to forward to the Nursing Home in a slide show or as individual photos. All cards are to be delivered (physical or electronic) by Easter Saturday 11th April If the local Nursing Home doesn’t want them then you could drop them off at your local hospital, Garda station or fire brigade station etc. Don’t forget to send us a picture at communications@scouts.ie or if you want to post on social media with #ScoutsHelpingOut we would love to see the Easter Cards. Let’s Lift Spirits This Easter By Putting Smiles On Faces. Parents / Guardians: We know our older people cannot have visitors at this time to keep them safe. So let's lift their spirits with a homemade Easter Card from our Beaver Scout and Cub Scouts. Instructions: 1. Help your Beaver Scout and Cub Scout to make an Easter Card for those living in your local Nursing or Care Home 2. It should have a Happy Easter greeting, your child’s first name only and Scout Group name 3. Please check that the greeting is cheerful and appropriate 4. Ensure there are no personal details disclosed on the card 5. Please ensure there is no envelope 6. The Beaver or Cub Scouter will advise you of the drop off point (This may be electronic depending on the wishes of the Nursing Home) 7. All cards need to be dropped off 7pm on Wednesday 8th April 8. All cards will then be held safe and untouched until delivery to the Nursing Home on Easter Saturday 11th April 9. Oh and don’t forget to send us a picture at communications@scouts.ie or if you want to post on social media with #ScoutsHelpingOut we would love to see the Easter Cards.

Your Scouter will make sure it is delivered to your local nursing home. (Make sure you ask your adult for help!)

Ask your Adult where the collection point is 4. Deliver the card to the collection point as part of your daily exercise 5.
