Formerly a bond analyst and banker, I'm now a non-fiction writer, design researcher and part-time interior designer. I also give speeches on various design topics, such as on Russel Wright and Manitoga. I'm interested in wellness design, biophilic design, evidence-based design, Russel Wright, Finn Juhl, mid-century modern design, Gustav Stickley furniture. I'm inspired by Cezanne, Vermeer, Winslow Homer, Petra Blaisse, Marimekko. I vegetable garden, draw in graphite and color pencil, paint in watercolor and acrylics and cook. I'm a native English speaker, but also speak French. I've lived in Brussels and in the Vaudois region of Switzerland and have traveled in Scandinavia, Japan, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Thailand and throughout North America.
