Intensive English Center
Why the Intensive English Center? We’ll improve your English, prepare you for the university and introduce you to American culture.
St. Cloud State University’s Intensive English Center (IEC) is a moderately-sized program committed to providing the highest quality English language and American cultural learning experiences for our international multilingual students. We provide English language instruction for individuals whose primary language is not English and who wish to improve their English language skills. Additionally, the IEC provides introductions to general American and academic American culture. These opportunities allow students to grow as they learn to successfully communicate in English and learn to live in a different culture. Additionally, students in the program: • Are offered conditional admission • May bypass the TOEFL, IELTS, PET requirement with a successful completion of Level 4 and/or Level 5 • May be eligible for in-state tuition after completion of the IEC and participation in the Academic and Culture Sharing Scholarship
