SierraCanyonSchoolhasbecomeoneofthe topcompetitiveUpperSchoolMathTeamsin thecountry.LedbyUpperCampusfaculty memberChrisTillman,theTeamhasseen uccessinnationalcompetitions. ,TigerZ.'25transcended cellencebybecominga pion.

InJanuary,Tigerreceivedaprestigious NationalMathOlympiadPrograminvitation. Hewasselectedasoneofsixstudentstojoin TeamUSA,headedtoBucharest,Romania,for the15thannualRomanianMasterof Mathematics(RMM)competition.The invitationitselfwasaremarkablehonoranda testamenttoTiger'sdedicationandskillin mathematics.Therigorousselectionprocess forTeamUSAinvolvedperformance assessmentsinvariousmathcompetitionslike theMathOlympiadProgram,American MathematicsCompetition,American InvitationalMathematicsExamination,and USAMathOlympiad.

TheRMMiscomprisedoftwointensedaysof problem-solving,withfourandahalfhoursof competitiondaily.Amidst80competitors worldwide,Tiger'sexceptionalperformance sawhimtieforfirstplacewiththetopstudent fromHungaryintheIndividualscategory, earningaGoldmedalandcontributingto TeamUSA'sGoldmedalintheTeams category.Reflectingonhisexperience,Tiger remarked,"Ireallyenjoyedmeetingother students.Wetalkedaboutlifeintheir countries,thedifferencesinmatheducations, andhowteamswerepickedforRMMandother internationalcontests."

Alongsidemath,Tigerisanaccomplished musician.Throughhisstudyofclassicalmusic, hehasplayedsoloandchambermusicat numerouseventsacrossthecountry, achievingfirstplaceinnationalandstate competitionssuchastheFischoffNational ChamberMusicCompetitionandMTACVOCE StateFinals.

Tiger'scommitmenttoacademicandpersonal excellenceexemplifiesthetruemeaningof SierraCanyon'sportraitofagraduate encompassinggenuineconfidence,vibrant intelligence,andcompassionatecharacter.

Winter Musical Production

SierraCanyonArtsismorethanaprogram itisajourneyofself-discoveryand expression.Atruerepresentationofthisphilosophycouldbeseenfirsthandduringthe productionweekendof Something Rotten.Withacastandcrewofthirty-eightUpper Campusstudents,theTheaterprogramcontinuestoigniteaudienceswithspectacular dancesequences,entertainingsongs,andhilariouscomedicperformances.

TheSierraCanyonPerformingArtsDepartmentiscentraltotheSchool'sobjectiveof educatingthewholeperson.Studentsdeveloptheskillsandthedisciplinetobeintuitive, imaginativecreatorsandobservers.Witnessthecreativeprocessinactionatthenext (andfinal)productionoftheschoolyear theMiddleSchoolmusical Matilda,inearlyMay.

Thiswinter,ourGirls'BasketballTeamwontheirsixthconsecutiveleaguechampionship, advancingtotheirthirdconsecutiveregionalCIFfinalandfinishingasatop5teaminthe country.TrailblazerexcellencecontinuedasourBoys'BasketballTeamclimbedto#12in thecountry,andourGirls'CompetitiveCheerTeamwontheSchool'sfirst-ever NationalChampionshipintheUSASpiritGameDayDivision.

OurMiddleSchoolTrailblazerscompetedintheDelphicLeague,withthe 8thGradeBoysBasketballTeamwinningthechampionship.
