It’s summer, and we are down to about six groups each Thursday. Here’s a picture of a past tournament with The Views Restaurant and golf staff. Loads of fun.

Community Foundation

Carol Johnson 425-343-7138 FoundationSCOV@gmail.com Fourth Thu., 1 PM, Desert Oasis www.foundationscov.org

A need for sewn items for children at risk, a talented group of SCOV residents, sewing machines...what is missing? This is where your Foundation comes in by supplying the funds to purchase fabrics, thread, and elastic for these very devoted Casa Amigas sewers. These ladies spend hours making quilts, sleep pants, capri pants, sleep sacks and crib sheets for the most vulnerable children.

These items are then distributed to three organizations: Amphi School Foundation (Starting Out Right), TOPS (Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services) and Sunrise House on the Tohono O’odham Reservation.

We salute this caring group and are delighted to partner with them in this wonderful endeavor. If your club or organization needs funding for a project, please find the grant application on the Foundation website: www.foundationscov.org.
