A new year has arrived, and we are excited to make 2019 the best year ever at The Views Golf Club. A few reminders are in order to start the year out right. The Frost Line is updated every morning before 6:30am letting us all know if there will be any delays or restrictions for play. The number to call is 520-825-0322. Effective 12/31/2018 through 1/10/2019 we will be on Mats ONLY on the driving range. This will allow for healing and new growth to take place on our range. Remember that the range closes at 3pm every Wednesday. The range will be open all other days from dawn to dusk. Range codes and range cards can be purchased every day until 5pm in the Pro Shop. Pro Shop hours are 7am - 5pm daily. Winter Rates begin 1/14/2019. 18-hole Resident daily fee rates will be $49 before 1pm. $37; 1pm-2pm and $25 after 2pm. Tax not included. 9-hole Resident daily fee rates will be $32 before 1pm and $25 after 1 pm. For those residents or their guests needing to rent a cart, our cart fees for 18 holes will be $10 per golfer and for 9 holes $7 per golfer. Public daily fees including cart for 18 holes will be $89 before 1pm, $69 1pm-2pm and $49 after 2pm. Tax not included. 9-hole rates including are $49 all day. Tax not included.
The 7th hole was on display as Stephen Bielawski got things started with a hole-inone on 11/12/2018 using a 7 iron from 170 yards. A day later 11/13/2018, Robert Taylor aced #7 with an 8 iron from 162 yards. Our latest ace was recorded by Howard Ray on 12/10/18. Howard used a 6 iron from 145 yards. Congratulations to Stephen, Howard and Robert on your hole-in-ones! Have you noticed anything different on hole #7? That camera behind the green on #7 is watching for the next hole-in- one. The Views Golf Club and Swing-King are now offering a hole in one club yearly membership for $75.00. If the hole in one member makes a hole in one on #7 he or she will be paid $2500.00 cash! Your yearly membership fee can be paid in the Pro Shop. It makes a great gift for that avid golfer. Don’t miss out on rewarding yourself for that great shot that is just waiting to be hit. We can’t wait to see who will be the first to claim the $2500,00 prize. Casual Golf 2019 Our first Casual Golf 9-hole shotgun will be held 1/14/2019 on the front 9 at 3pm with dinner to follow in The Views Restaurant at 5:15pm. The fee this year will be the same as last year, $30 which includes golf and dinner. Pass Holders will pay a $10 fee to cover the cost of dinner only. Registration and check-in will begin at 2pm in the pro shop. Deadline to sign up will be Friday, 1/11/2019 @ 5 pm or when a maximum of 56 golfers is reached. Come out for a no pressure, fun round on our beautiful course.
THE DIVOTS – January 2019 Golf 45 is Here! After a trial run of Golf 45 with our Casual Golf Group and the mostly positive responses we received, we have decided to offer Golf 45 on Saturday 1/19/2019 as a standalone group. This is a new endeavor and is perfect for the beginning golfer, the chip and putter who wants more, or the advanced golfer wanting to sharpen their approach shots and short game. We will shotgun start at 3pm. The object of Golf 45 is to play 9 holes in under 2 hours teeing off from the 100-yard marker (or on Par 3’s from the forward tee) AND shoot 45 or under. If you accomplish that, the next time you play Golf 45 you move to the 150-yard marker. Accomplishing that moves you to the 200yard marker and when you shoot 45 and paly under 2 hours you graduate to play the course from the normal tee boxes. This is a great way to gradually manage the game of golf and improve your skills at the same time. The fee for playing Golf 45 will be $15 and the field will be limited to 56 players.
