Divots Jan 1, 2018
From the Pro Kim Griggs, PGA Happy New Year! We hope everyone has a safe, healthy & and Happy 2018. THANK YOU On behalf of my staff and me, I would like to extend a very sincere thank you to everyone who dropped us a card or goodies this Christmas Season. Pace of Play I have received several questions lately about what is expected of players as far as “pace of play” on our golf course. First of all, our new 9 hole time frame is 2 hours. It is very important that you keep up with the group in front of you. Also, remember that there will be twosomes, threesomes and foursomes on the course and also golfers only playing 9 holes. Gaps will occur because of this; however they should tighten up as long as everyone is playing within the allotted time. Please listen to the Rangers when they ask you to pick up the pace, pick up your ball or skip a hole as they are only doing their job. Hitting in to the group in front of you and or yelling at them will not be tolerated.

Don’t miss our helicopter ball drop at the end of the event Helicopter Ball Drop The helicopter ball drop as mentioned above, will be on Friday Jan 26 between 12:30 & 1:00 on the driving range. Cost per golf ball is $10, 3 balls is $25, 7 balls is $50 and 15 balls is $100. Receive a FREE sleeve of Titleist Pro v golf balls for any purchase of 3 balls or more. You may purchase golf balls anytime up until Thurs Jan 25 2018 in the pro shop or through the Men’s and Women’s Golf Associations. Here is how it works: Purchas a ball (s) to qualify for the ball drop. Each ball you buy will have a number written on it. Each of these balls will be loaded into a helicopter and flown over The Views GC driving range and dropped on the designated flag location
for the contest. You do not have to be present to win. Closest to the pin wins! Prize money will be determined by how many balls are sold after the 50/50 split with each association. The more each club sells, the more money they will have for their association. Tip from the Pro Practice with Purpose!! When you go to the driving range, practice green or chipping area; you should always practice like you would play. For example… Make a fairway in your mind on the driving range and see how many times you can hit that fairway. When you are chipping, have an imaginary circle (3 feet or so) and see how many times you can get your ball that close. Handicap Flags Please check your garages for any handicap flags that you may have as they belong to The Views Golf Club. Also, please remember to return the flags at the conclusion of each and every round you play Thank you Cure For Cancer This year’s cure for cancer tournament will be hosted by The Views Nine Hole Women’s GC on Tuesday February 6, 2018.
