From The Board of Directors Our mission as the SCOV Board is to lead in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in Sun City Oro Valley as an active adult community. All Board minutes, agendas and reports are available online and in the SCOV Library. Board meetings are open to residents.

Board of Directors tkelleyscov@gmail.com

SCOV Capital Fund — Looking Towards the Future by Tim Kelley, Board Treasurer The SCOV Board has a fiduciary responsibility to plan for the current and future requirements of SCOV. This responsibility includes the review and approval of the annual budget as well as maintaining and improving our facilities and amenities to remain responsive to our members and competitive among active adult communities. The planning resources available to the Board currently include the Activities Center Renovation Committee (ACRC), and the Long-Range Planning Committee (LRPC). Other committees focus on specific elements of the planning process such as Finance-Budget and Properties Committees. ACRC is in the process of developing a project scope and a cost estimate. The Board anticipates several scenarios will be developed in this process. However, at this point we do not have enough information available to quantify the cost estimate or the timing of the expenditures from both Capital and Asset Reserve Funds for this project. The LRPC recently provided the Phase 1 report to the Board (see the SCOV website) that identifies new projects based on resident input and research of which amenities other communities are providing. The projects LRPC identified will result in the formation of ad hoc committees to further develop and define project scopes and cost estimates. LRPC has also contracted for a land use study to identify how to best meet the needs of the community given the limited land available. What this means is that demands on the Capital Fund’s resources over the next five years are largely unknown. It is impossible today to put together a meaningful forecast of planned expenditures. The forecasted Capital Fund balance at the end of June 2019 is $1 million. The Capital Fund has multiple funding sources (annual dues, capital contribution fee, loans, special assessments, AT&T lease revenue, earned interest and donations). As more detailed project information becomes available,

Natural Hazards This year has seen unusual weather patterns and has resulted in other anomalies as well. Coming to work in early May, I had a doe run across Rancho Vistoso Blvd. just in front of me and right in the heart of our Sun City Oro Valley community. While fun to watch, it did cause me to hit the brakes in order to miss her. Deer are not the only wildlife in our community, and some wildlife deserve our attention to avoid unsafe conditions.Let me mention a few. We have mountain lions, javelina, ringtailed cats, bobtail cats, coyote, badger, and I’ve even seen a picture of a bear taken many years ago. Although the wildlife like to be left alone, they will attack when feeling threatened. Wildlife should be enjoyed from a distance. Sometimes we find other wildlife like behaviors in the community although they are few in numbers and rarely found. They come out when tempers are high for various reasons. They will verbally confront other residents, staff and sometimes guests. They forget the code of conduct which tells us what is not permitted. It specifically says “ • The use of loud, profane, indecent or abusive language, physical abuse, threat, harassment or like activities. • Actions that result in unsafe conditions or practices, uncivil or discourteous manners, willful misconduct, or actions that unfairly or unreasonably impair the rights or privileges of other users. • Interference with staff functions, procedures, or discipline of staff” are not allowed.Beware of this kind of behavior. If you see this behavior, please report it to the association. Do not engage with these individuals as it can be harmful to your person. All other wildlife should be enjoyed from a distance. We are fortunate to live in such a scenic and beautiful area. Let’s all do our part to keep it this way.

Asst. General Manager - Robin Coulter rcoulter@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8070 Annual Mailing Details The annual dues invoice was mailed at the beginning of June. Included in this year’s mailing is a letter from our General Manager, an Annual Budget Summary & Report, invoice ($1,875), dues payment options, golf information, how to register your golf cart, information about rentals in SCOV and a document listing the changes in the governing documents made this year. Also included are two very important documents. The first is the HUD Age Verification Survey, and the second is the Emergency Contact Form. The HUD Age Verification Survey is a document required by the federal government to be collected every two years from residents in an age restricted community so that we can prove, if audited by the government, that age requirements are met. The Emergency Contact Form is an optional document for you to complete. It is kept on file in the Administration Office and used if an emergency occurs at your lot (water leaking from a vacant house, someone is hurt, etc.). The information is shared only with the authorities in the event of an emergency. The list of governing document changes covers everything from issues on which the community voted to changes in the Development Standards recommended by the Architectural Review Committee and approved by the Board, to Board policies. All the governing documents are available on our website under Members/Documents. If by June 7 you haven’t received your invoice, please contact the Administration Office at 520-825-3711.

Programs/Facilities Director - Pam Sarpalius psarpalius@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8077 Why Rules? SCOV is a homeowners association (HOA) community. All HOAs have rules in order to maintain the high quality of services provided to their residents. When purchasing a home you receive a copy of homeowner rules in the Homeowner’s Handbook. Rules are made so that all members of the community can be assured of service and safety. Sometimes a rule may affect the way you feel about the way something is handled. If you disagree, you have the right to contact the General Manager. We especially try to protect facilities such as the swimming pools and courts from use by nonresidents who do not pay dues. It is important that you are aware of the homeowner rules.

Videos from our collection were checked out over 9,200 times in the past year, averaging over 750 videos a month. While movies make up most of our collection, we also have television series, documentaries and foreign movies – all shelved separately. The foreign films have English subtitles. Almost half of the documentaries are a gift from ILR and identified with a green spine label. Tucked in with the regular movies are golf, yoga and other exercise videos. Recreation and Fitness - Lonnie Davis ldavis@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8073 How Much Sunscreen Should I Use, and How Often Should I Apply It? Use enough sunscreen to generously coat all skin that will not be covered by clothing. Ask yourself, “Will my face, ears, arms or hands be covered by clothing?” If not, apply sunscreen. Most people only apply 25-50 percent of the recommended amount of sunscreen. Follow the guideline of “1 ounce, enough to fill a shot glass,” which dermatologists consider the amount needed to cover the exposed areas of the body. Adjust the amount of sunscreen applied depending on your body size. Apply sunscreen to dry skin 15 minutes before going outdoors. Skin cancer also can form on the lips. To protect your lips, apply a lip balm or lipstick that contains sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. Re-apply sunscreen approximately every two hours or after swimming or sweating, according to the directions on the bottle. Special Note From the Aquatic and Fitness Center (AFC) Orientation on how to use the gym equipment is held every Thursday, 1 PM, so stop in and sign up. Contact Lonnie Davis, AFC Coordinator, to discuss questions or problems with the AFC. AFC and Desert Oasis: See Hours of Operation on page 2. Tuesday, June 11, the AFC pool and spa will be closed for cleaning and shock treatment. They will reopen the following morning at the regular time. Wednesday, June 12, the Desert Oasis pool will be closed for cleaning and shock treatment and reopen the following morning at the regular time.

The ACRC is in the process of editing and prioritizing the elements of the renovation so the architects can work on creating conceptual drawings. We are also working with other committees so we may address as many future requirements as possible. It is expected that we will have the first round of drawings available for community discussion this fall. Please check the SCOV calendar for our updated general meeting schedule. Are you planning a permanent improvement addition or expansion to your home? Then plan for the ARC review. When preparing the ARC submittal form, include details for the exact location of construction, dimensions of the addition and materials to be used. Submit working blueprints including elevations, for construction of room additions or expansions. Include necessary Town of Oro Valley building, electrical or plumbing permits. Refer to Development Standard Section 4.3 for information on permanent improvement notifications to neighbors within 100 feet of your property. Consider what the finished improvement will look like from your neighbor’s property and the neighborhood. Balance your property rights and permanent improvement requirements with your neighbors’ views and the SCOV community architectural character. SCOV is a great place to live and enjoy. Let’s keep it special.

Log in at www.scovaz.com/members/services/miscellaneous/ and click on SCOV Photo Contest Form. Is your directory listing correct? Maybe you replaced your landline with a cell phone. Check both the online directory and the paper directory. Is your deceased partner still listed? A lot of people like to keep their loved one’s name in the directory for safety or for sentiment. Deceased spouses names are removed only when the surviving spouse requests it. If you’ve decided it’s time to update your listing, contact me. To update your information, complete the online form “To change your directory listing...” or fill out an orange card at the Welcome Center.

We are introducing a community/social table, where you can chat with others and make new friends. As you leave home, give us a quick call, 520-825-3277, so we have enough seats or just show up at 8:30 AM, 1 PM or 6 PM and ask to be seated at the community table. Speaking of tables, please allow staff to move tables and chairs–it’s their job. They can also fix those annoying wobbly tables/chairs, without using sugar packets. Analysis of over 400 recent comment cards indicates that 99.2 percent of you said we are meeting or exceeding your expectations in food and service. Thanks to staff for making this our new reality.

Summer is here, and the hot days are excellent for staying inside and reading a good book. Here are some ideas from our awesome library: If you’ve been watching the Amazon Prime series “Bosch,” you might want to try one of the Michael Connelly novels that feature Harry Bosch. We’ve got a bunch. Another series that you might like is “Longmire.” We have the DVDs of the series and we also have many of the novels that feature Walt Longmire by Craig Johnson. If you’re a “Game of Thrones” fan or have heard about it and want to try it, we have the DVDs of the series. We also have Fire and Blood, the book by George R.R. Martin that is the prequel to the series. All of the funds to purchase these books, videos, and audio books comes completely from donations, grants and the fundraising done by Friends of the Library. That means from friends like you. Your support as a member of Friends of the Library, your participation in fund raising events like the Home Tour, your donations and grants from community organizations like ILR combine to make a star in the crown of SCOV. Thank you.

Neighborhood Pride Chair Tempe Johnson 520-825-6994 Third Tue., 2 PM, WC3 Reminders for Summertime Whether you are here or away for the summer, please remember: • Weeds in cracks of driveways, sidewalks and where the cement meets the asphalt of the street are the responsibility of the homeowner to remove.

June 2019, Sun City Oro Valley Tipster

8

• Cactus and/or bushes in your yard should not extend over the sidewalk causing danger to walkers. • Trees must be kept trimmed up to at least 7 feet high over the sidewalk so as not to injure walkers or block visibility of a stop sign. • Exposed soil or bare dirt needs to be covered by rock. • Artifacts, including empty pots, are not allowed in front yards. Pots should be planted with live plants, as artificial ones are not allowed. • For safety reasons, trim any vegetation blocking numbers on your house, and be sure the numbers are lit and visible from the street, day and night. • Shrubs near the entrance to your driveway need to be cut down to a height of less than 42” so as not to block visibility of a vehicle exiting the driveway. We thank you for remembering the above. Have a wonderful summer.

Posse Chair Linda Simon 520-789-7169 posse@5LP.com First Tue., 3 PM, Desert Oasis, no meetings in Jun., Jul., Aug. www.scovaz.com/committees/posse/ (must be logged in first)

I’m honored to be your new Posse Chair and thank the current board members for their commitment to our community. I’d like to encourage those of you who are not serving with the Posse to consider becoming a member. There are many benefits which include: meeting other wonderful residents; hearing the appreciation in the voices of residents when we call to let them know their garage door is open, saving them the possibility of unwanted visitors like desert critters or even unwelcome humans; meeting and working with dedicated Oro Valley police officers and council members; and helping keep our community safe. Six hours a year (two 3-hour patrols) is all the commitment we ask. Join us in making a difference.

Preserve and Enhance Lifestyle and Property Values Chair Don Stewart 618-980-3878 bethsdad81@gmail.com

Many committees and task forces in SCOV, as well as the Board of Directors, take the summer off. Even though half of our committee members will be absent, those remaining will be working in conjunction with the ARC on proposed revisions to the Development Standards which are needed to fully implement the process authorized by residents on the March ballot regarding views. Proposed changes to the process will be developed by using previously submitted ARC submittals for improvements to develop the process for the upcoming implementation and notification letters. Revision of the process is needed to ensure standardization and fairness of the results. The next full task force meeting will be Wednesday, September 18, 2 PM. The location is to be determined and will be communicated on the SCOV website calendar. Have a nice summer.

Properties Chair Rich Oaks richoaks114@gmail.com Third Thu., 9 AM, WC1

Summer is here and residents find it advantageous to park in the shade provided by the solar panels in the parking lots at the Mountain Vista complex. When parking under the panels, you might notice the electrical boxes on some of the vertical poles that support the panels. Those boxes contain the inverters that convert the DC power generated by the solar panels into AC power that is used in Association buildings thereby saving the HOA money and reducing the commu-

nity’s carbon footprint. The humming noise at the boxes indicates the equipment is operating normally. The Properties Committee works on a variety of tasks like this during the year. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, June 20.

Superintendent - Michael Kropf scvgolf@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8063 The summer months are a very slow time for most of the activities around the community. Most of the seasonal residents have left and the golf clubs really scale back their events. However, the summer starts the busy season for golf course maintenance. During the winter months, there aren’t many opportunities to aerify greens, dethatch fairways or do major projects without interrupting tournaments or impacting play during the peak golfing season.

9

The heat of the summer isn’t a fun time for golfing, but the Bermuda grass loves growing in the high heat. This heat provides the best time to aerify greens, tees and fairways because the Bermuda grass is able to recover quickly without disturbing rounds of golf. Aerification is necessary to provide oxygen, water and nutrients to the roots, remove thatch, and relieve compaction developed over a season of daily mowing, watering and golfing. This process provides a healthier and more playable turf in the long run. Other summer projects include the continuation of trap repair, drainage projects and sodding of collars where the grass is weak. The sand and drainage system in the greenside traps of #4 and #5 will be done after the fairways are aerified and topdressed in early June. These traps are not going to be impacted by the greens reconstruction project in summer 2020. They are going to be built similar to the traps on #1 and #18 greens. Weak areas around greens will also be repaired with sod to speed up recovery.

Golf Advisory Chair Beth Allen 520-639-8845 Sep.-May, first Wed., 2 PM, WC3

There will be no committee meetings until September. We are fortunate to be able to continue to enjoy golf while many of our neighbors and friends have left for the summer season. The new league representatives for 2019-2020 are: 18Hole Men, Kevin Devaney; 18-Hole Women, Ruth Bonfiglio; 9-Hole Men, Gary Gibson, 9-Hole Women, Louann Convey. Our vice chair is Bill Cocanour and Steve Parker is our member at large. Please remember that Superintendent Mike Kropf and his crew will be working very hard to continue to keep our course in the best possible shape. Please be patient and respect the work and watch for the workers, as they are on the course. Because entry and exit gates are no longer on the course, enter and exit at 90 degrees. Keep your golf cart on the path when parking near the greens and the wheels should remain on the paved path.

The Views 18-Hole Women’s Golf Club had our awards banquet and end of season luncheon April 23. Congratulations to all the winners. Among the many golf accomplishments this year here are some of the most outstanding: Club Champion, Barbara Hall; President’s Cup Champion, Beckie Harkey; Most Improved Golfer, Marilyn Roach; Overall Low Net Winner, Kathy Gross and State Medallion, Barbara Hall (gross) and Betty Bittle (net). Our club has a long-standing history of members working together and contributing to the success of the club. Board members and chairwomen volunteer many hours to ensure the objectives of the club are met. Thank you to our 2018-2019 Board and Chairwomen for your hard work and leadership this year; Pres., Darlene Lamb; VP, Marty Blakely; Sec., Lesley Chace; Treas., Yvette Schulz; Tournaments, Marilyn Roach, most improved golfer Beckie Harkey; Handicap, Debbie Huffman and Rules, Eileen Buskirk. Many of our members leave for the summer, however, not everybody. Our club is active year-round. We continue to play golf Tuesday mornings and enjoy some away golf outings as well as some non-golf activities. Best wishes to everyone for a safe and happy summer.

On April 18, Susan Olson hit a hole-in-one on hole #3 during league play, and she celebrated with the whole club by offering mimosas at the May general meeting. Congrats to Susan. Kay Johnson was named the club’s Most Improved Player. Our club champions were announced and will represent our club at the Arizona State Medallion Tournament in January. The Low Gross honor goes to Nancy Sopwith (who was tied with Barbara Grunkemeyer, but lost in a score card playoff) and the Low Net Champion is Shirley Sheriff. We are very proud of these golfers. We have begun our Summer Fun Golf Days and invite any woman to join us on Thursdays. It’s a great way to enjoy The Views, meet new friends and sharpen your skills.

We have just ended another great season of golf. We’d like to thank all the personnel who make The Views Golf Club a great and challenging course: Rick Price and the Pro Shop staff, Michael Kropf and his maintenance crew and the rangers. We had some tough winter weather and hopefully Mother Nature will be kinder in 2020. Safe travels to all who leave for the summer. Enjoy your summer, and we hope to see you in the fall.

Coming Events

Food & Beverage Director - Aalt Brouwer abrouwer@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8074

We are very excited as June arrives. The restaurant will be closed June 10-16 for deep cleaning, staff training and a staff appreciation event. All staff will attend the same intensive training classes as last year during our remodel. We will empty out all storage areas, scrub equipment, floors and walls and clean our chairs: a top-to-bottom cleaning. The Terrace and sidewalk will be resurfaced to make them safer in wet and cold conditions. There will be some surprises which you will hear about and see as the month progresses. This month starts a regular feature in this article: introducing one of our staff to you. Let me tell you about Jessica Evans. She is one of our wonderful bartenders and servers. Jessica was born in Libby, Montana, where she was a spelling bee champion. Jessica moved to Arizona in 2003. Today she enjoys hiking, reading, swimming and spending time with her beautiful children. Her great ambition is to be an international spy.

Another June is here and the mid-90 temperatures are evident. A heartfelt thanks to those SCOV residents who participated in our annual Shredding Day event. We processed 4,000 lbs. of paper and received donations to the Foundation of $1,360. First off, please enjoy your summer months whether you be near or far. A reminder to all SCOV residents that charitable gifts can be made at any time during the year. One of our most recent grants went to Painted Sky Elementary to support their need of tutoring materials for students in certain subjects, a very worthwhile cause. If you are a recent resident to SCOV or have been around for a much longer period of time, please keep in mind that funds donated to the Foundation are used for some level of support to organizations that provide health, cultural, educational, recreational and charitable services in SCOV as well as the surrounding area. Send your gift to the Sun City Vistoso Community Foundation, 1565 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley, AZ 85755. Our autopay plan is available on our website. Please participate by making a charitable donation and help us to make 2019 one of the best years ever for the Foundation.

We encourage any SCOV resident who is interested in photography to consider joining our club.

Sculpture Pres. Laurie Lichaa 520-812-0198 Mon., 9 AM-5 PM, Catalina Vista/Art Studio

The clay sculpture group meets Mondays in the Art Studio in Catalina Vista. Come see the projects in process and completed projects in the display case. The club continues to meet and create throughout the summer. In the picture, Tracy Getz (right), a more experienced sculptor, is assisting Janie Hulett, a novice, with an issue related to her armature. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and expertise with others in the club. Late April was a time to say goodbyes. The clay sculpture group held their annual spring party to say goodbye to those who transition to their summer schedules. The club also said goodbye to a club member who passed. We will all greatly miss Gene McCullah’s gentle kindness and his creativity. We send our deepest sympathy to Gene’s family.

Cheer Bears

Pat Norton 480-993-8762 panpan9803@yahoo.com Wed., 1-3 PM, Artisan Center/Sewing

We are slowing down now as the seasonal residents are returning to their homes in the other parts of the world. On May 8, a rather large group met at the Sewing Room and decided to continue meeting twice a month during the summer to see if we can get a head start on the fall sewing. We decided to meet on June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24 and August 14 and 28. As always, we will meet Wednesdays from 1-3 PM in the Sewing Room. We will stop for a rest the month of September, but starting in October, we will be gathering in full force again as usual, 1-3 PM, Wednesdays. All help can be used, as we do cutting, embroidering, sewing, clipping, stuffing and hand sewing. Everyone can find a place and share friendship with cheery people. Safe journeys and bless you all for the works that you do. Machine Embroidery

This month we feature President Tom Moore. He was just a novice when he joined the club five years ago. Tom got inspired by his uncle who was a hobby jeweler, and left him all his stones and equipment. The rest was history. Tom jumped right in, becoming a monitor, then elected vice president, then president. He helped rewrite our bylaws with board members Ed and Hart. Tom says he loves all the people who frequent the shop and is always learning from them. His favorite technique is overlay. Soon Tom will be moving to Central City, Colorado, a town of 9,000, where he is building his dream home. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life. Thank you, Tom, for all you have done. We hope to see you back in SCOV for many visits in the coming years. You will be missed.

Tucson is known as the #1 city for astronomy in the world, which gives us access to outstanding speakers. Look up, the cosmos is mysterious. The club sponsors an Astronomy Speaker Series. The presentations from these experts are in a variety of subject areas. The speakers for the 2019-2020 year are already on board, and it looks like it will be one of the best ever. The series will start on October 17, so, mark your calendars for the third Thursday of the month at 7 PM through May. You won’t want to miss one.

If you’ve been lucky enough to see, or at least hear, the soundtrack of the hit musical Hamilton, you may have noticed that Lin-Manuel Miranda gives the last word of the play to Eliza Hamilton, Alexander’s wife. Our June book selection, Eliza Hamilton: The Extraordinary Life and Times of the Wife of Alexander Hamilton, by Tilar J. Mazzeo, turns the spotlight on the life of this fascinating woman, who continued a quiet, dignified career of guarding her husband’s legacy and launching numerous philanthropic ventures for over 50 years after Alexander’s death. In July we will discuss Daphne du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn. With its 1830s setting, featuring a strong but endangered female protagonist, this classic novel has all the elements of foreboding, romance and murder for which du Maurier is famous.

As usual, we enjoyed chatting with members we had met over the season and meeting newcomers. Our catered kick-off dinner in the fall will be November 9, after which we will launch our themed dinners, hosted at members’ homes. This last year, some of our themes were open to wide interpretation (food from movies) or covered large geographies (South American cuisine) or focused on one country (Thai delights). Join us and suggest some themes for next year. What would you enjoy cooking? Better still, what would you enjoy eating? We are open to creative ideas. There are five seasons in our Sonoran Desert. The month of June is part of the dry summer season. It is generally known as the hottest and driest time of the year. We have longer daylight with sunrise at 5:15 AM and sunset at 7:30 PM. Many days can pass without a cloud in the sky. The organ pipe cactus, prickly pear, cholla and ocotillo are displaying an abundance of color this month. June 21 is summer solstice and June 24 is San Juan’s Day. Then we will soon celebrate the coming of the summer monsoon season when the summer rains begin. WAG OV’s mission is to promote positive, progressive political change on issues affecting women and families. At the May meeting we learned about a new petition circulating for the 2020 ballot that continues the effort to bring transparency to “Dark Money” in political campaigns. Wouldn’t everyone want to know the sources of money behind candidates or issues? Also in May, we collected a trunk-full of donations for the Benedictine Monastery’s legal asylum refugees. Thanks to all who brought clothing, diapers and toiletries. Our summer project is studying framing: how to influence the perception of a subject by the use of specific words. In April, in addition to our regular business meeting, we held a social hour on The Views Restaurant Terrace at WAG’s “Farewell Snowbirds” event. We’ll do that again in June to “Celebrate Summer.” WAG’s June business meeting will be held at a member’s home; contact Anne Munoz to learn more. Please join us.

SCOV offers Joseph Pilates mat classes twice per week Mondays and Thursdays. Summer is here and both classes are now smaller and more personal. Stretching exercises are done first to warm up and then the mat routine is performed, with modified moves for those of us with limitations. People ask, “Can the benefits of Pilates which come from strengthening and stretching exercises, really develop the body’s core (abdomen and back muscles), increase spine mobility and build flexibility?” The answer is a firm yes. The benefits achieved in our classes cannot be beat and don’t forget about improved balance, muscle tone, stamina and well being. The cost is $8/class and annual club dues are $20 pp. Please join us or just stop by and watch. Call Mary with any questions.

June 2019, Sun City Oro Valley Tipster

Wallyball is not just volleyball played in a racquetball court. It is a separate sport with separate rules, and playing the sport requires the development of a separate set of skills. Wallyball is a faster game than volleyball. The sport of wallyball takes into consideration hand-eye coordination, balance, strength, power and agility. To excel at wallyball, you must have a good combination of these attributes. Wallyball is a great workout and could be compared to the speed of an indoor soccer game. We think you will enjoy this sport. Just be ready for the unexpected, use your general volleyball knowledge, watch the walls and most important, defend the corners. Find more information at www.wallyball-info.com/What_is_Wallyball.html.

The club’s focus is bringing RV’ers together, banding together to roam across the continent, enjoying the comradery of an RV camping adventure. The next trip is Chiricahua National Monument, though we still need a wagon master to make this trip happen. Upcoming trips include Cochise County ghost towns, Palm Springs and Patagonia State Park. These and other trips are on our website. The Sundowners meet the second Monday of the month, October through May. The next general membership meeting is October 14, 9 AM, Catalina Vista.
