Divots November 2018 From The Pro Shop Tom MacKinney, PGA Associate New in November November is here and so are a lot of familiar faces. Welcome back to all our seasonal residents. We also have a new face in the pro shop. Joseph Courtney has joined our staff as an Assistant Professional. Joseph comes to us from Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club in Spearfish, South Dakota. Good luck Joseph! We also welcome back Charley Young as a Pro Shop Attendant AND as our Master Griller. Look for the “Grill on the Range” on Fridays and Saturdays 11 AM -3 PM. Course Maintenance We would like to pass along a job well done to our Course Superintendent, Mike Kropf, and his crew for a successful overseed. The course is in great shape!. Let’s all help keep it that way by filling our divots and fixing our ball marks and at least one other on the greens. October Results October was a busy month with many events. Here are results of the major events in October. The Views 5K Run/Walk A total of 86 runners and walkers participated in The Views 5K which was held on the front nine and 10 th hole of our golf course. In the Women’s Division, Celia Schreker crossed the line first with a time of 28:58. Men’s Division winner was Michael Prow with a time of 26:01. Everyone commented on how beautiful our course

was and look forward to this being an annual event. Plans are underway for a bigger and better Run the Views 5K in 2019. Glow Ball Tournament A field of over 30 players descended on our putting green to participate in a 3-hole putting and 1-hole chipping contest. The course was “lit up” with glow paint outlining the holes and flags by our resident “pyrotechnician”, Tim Lochner. A great time was had by all. Leaderboard & results: Place

After a long and arduous judging, the winners of the best cart decoration were Gary and Nancy Gibson and their hearse golf cart. Best costumes went to Bozo the Clown (aka, O. David Johnson) and Mistress of the Day of the Dead (aka. Susan Olson). A special mention must be given to best dog costume to Rosie the dog. Proud owners Art & Roberta Bruchez.
