The plot is large, hence defined by generous free flowing and bold transition spaces that magnify the visual connection with the landscape that indents onto each part of the house. The house is surrounded by north and west lawns where maximum openings and connections with the outside invite a lot of light and cross ventilation. A perfect blend of architecture and landscape, symbolizes a warm home. This bungalow has three different levels connected through a central double height atrium which binds the house, forming a family sitting space. The Ground floor includes a formal living room, kitchen, dining and two bedrooms looking to courtyards and a garden. The First floor has three other bedrooms. The house is lit up through huge windows and openings, for natural light and cross-ventilation. The external dynamics of the house in concrete and teak wood stone cladding continues inside with white walls and a contrast of wooden ceilings and furniture. The color palette is neutral wherein this house signifies a contemporary, warm and lively Indian house.

CHALLENGES To create a simple looking structure was a big challenge as Its structure was tactfully designed to be as sleek and minimal in appearance. The entire square slab on the wooden looking box is a very thin plate where almost quarter of the slab is resting on one thin column to amplify the glass/transparent feel of the family space.
INSPIRATION Aesthethics in minimal structure which reflects elegance and simplicity where every member of the family wanted a place that catered to each of them.
