This impressive house is nestled in the posh neighborhood in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The design effort shows right from the moment you enter the gate. An impressive compound wall and gate with well positioned plants and lighting catch your attention before the focus is shifted to the building faรงade. The faรงade is simple but eye catching. The use of tiles for cladding the suspended metal mural and the niches for the lights all form a rhythm. The idea was to create a design which can live through time. As you enter the gate, the strong and bold striped granite driveway leads you into the house. On one side you have a covered parking for two cars and the landscape also tends to invite you and enhances the beauty of the building.

noteworthy In a decent sized plot of about 500 sq.mts., this house with a built up area of 6000 sq.ft accommodates four bed rooms with walk in wardrobes, attached toilets, a drawing room, living and dining, TV room, dry and wet kitchen, pooja room and the entrance foyer in the three floors. Connected by an elevator as well as a metal staircase, these areas are divided such that the guests are restricted to the ground floor where they are greeted in the foyer and entertained in the TV room/lounge which is equipped with a wet bar. It also has a powder room attached and a cozy sit out in the backyard. The screen dividing the living room and the kitchen gives privacy as well as allows interaction between the family members. The master bed room occupies its prime position on the southwest corner with a large wardrobe and attached toilet. It has large windows which allow good view and ventilation.

On the second floor you are greeted with a study cum library area on the landing on one side and on the other you have a family sitting area. Three bed rooms with walk in wardrobes as well as attached toilets complete the floor. The house is modern, stylish and sophisticated; each corner of the house has a magnificent look. The instinctive feel of unusual palette of warm wood, peaceful whites and a touch of technology along with a very flexible layout, has resulted in a sumptuous home treat.

the challenges Overall, there were no major challenges but there were limitations while designing artistically, keeping Vaastu Shastra in mind.

the influences “Art was the major inspiration for this house. While conceptualizing the design it became our priority to be that sophisticated artist with unusual color pallet for the whole house. - Raaj Sree Ram Siddamsetty.
