HOW TO APPLY

There are a few different ways for you to apply:

Use the e-Prospectus to apply online

The quickest and easiest way to apply to us is through our E-Prospectus.

Visit careerseastsussex.co.uk to set up your profile, search for the college and your perfect course, then submit your application.

Through our website

You can apply to us online via our college website.

1. Visit www.escg.ac.uk

2. You will then be able to search for the course or courses that you’re interested in and then click ‘apply’. Make sure you select your course at the right campus.

3.You’ll then be taken to another page where you will be able to fill in an application form.

4. You will receive an automated email to say that we have received your application within 5 working days. If you have any problems please don’t hesitate to call and speak to one of our student advisors.

Please note: If you’re under 16 - your parent or guardian should check the consent box.

Send us your application by post

Pull out and fill in the application form opposite, using a black pen and writing in capitals. If you have any problems please contact our friendly admissions team on 030 300 39699, who will be happy to help.

Once you have completed the form, hand it to your current school or college for completion. Your School will have to fill out the reference form part of the application for you. Check with your school whether they want to send it back to us, along with the application form, or if they expect you to.

You can then post it to our Eastbourne campus by sending it to:

Please note: If you’re under 16 - you will need to ask your parent/ guardian to sign the form.

Submit your application before the end of December. We will accept applications into the new year but getting your application in early means you’ll have the best chance of securing your place with us.

After your application...

Can’t make up your mind?

If you can’t decide on a course, don’t panic. You can apply for more than one course on your application form. You will have the chance to discuss your options with us at interview. We also offer bookable careers guidance appointments for you to explore your options. The most important thing is you eventually enrol on the course that’s right for you - we are here to help you.

Course cancellations

In the unlikely event that your course is cancelled, we will do our best to find you an alternative course to help you succeed in your career ambitions. Where possible, any payments towards the cost of your course can be transferred to your new course. Any refunds will be credited by bank transfer (BACS) to your bank account.

Interviews

If we have all the information we need on your application form, we will invite you to an interview. The sooner you submit your application, the sooner you’ll receive an interview. You will receive a letter/email telling you what you will need to bring with you on your allocated day and time. As a general rule, interviews are held weekly. The interview is a good opportunity to find out more about your chosen subject(s) and will give you more information and make sure you are considering the right course for your future. Your parents/carers are welcome to come with you.

Offers

At the end of your interview, you will be given written confirmation of your offer and exam grades (or other requirements) you need to secure your place. Once your place is confirmed, you will continue to receive information about starting college and your journey to an exciting future will begin.

After your exam results in August, you will be invited to attend enrolment in late August or early September – this is when you officially become an East Sussex College student! You will need to bring in your exam results and we’ll contact you to tell you exactly when you start your course.
