Course Comment: The mini­mester format is phenomenal! It allows us to work with the material intimately and forms strong bonds between the students.

This is a great course and one that provides real world (practical) applications. Being in product management, I found this course to be relevant to my line of work and one which information (Design Thinking) is very useful. This course is the best one that I've taken in the MBA program and should be offered more often. The on­campus one week long format is excellent, which I found very useful. Great course, mini mester rocks.

I was surprised at how well this class turned out. I can't believe how much this class has taught me in a short period of time. I find myself going through the day and coming up with ideas on how to solve everyday problems. I would definitely take a class like this again if it is in the same format.

I think this mini­course should be repeated, it surpassed all expectations and provided a great insight over open innovation. I will definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

Taking Inn. & Mgmt. Design Thinking has provided new insights that I can take to my personal and professional life as I look to improve processes all around. Before taking the class, I did not recognize the importance and abundance of creativity and innovation that is occurring all around me in small ways. These small pieces of innovation are the forces that are keeping everything going. I was especially impressed with the unique format of the class.

Having a one week mini­mester allowed me to attend the course in person, rather than by distance learning, and even managed to challenge my perspective on education. The discussion generated by the articles that Professor Diasio presented for the class was one of the most valuable aspects of taking the course. Professor Diasio was able to facilitate robust, provocative discussion, thereby allowing all of us to engage with others in the class and learn from their perspective.

I loved the format of this course. That is, applying the innovation tools we learned to a challenge. I think that this is the ideal way to learn and that this teaching method (not merely listening to a lecture and being tested on our knowledge of the material, but given a challenge or issue in which we can practically apply what we learned) should be applied more frequently in our courses.

Instructor Comment: Dr. Diasio is a powerhouse of creativity. I have not felt this motivated and inspired in the MBA program. He is truly dedicated to student success and is constantly trying to enhance our understanding. The range of media he employs brings depth to every topic and the energy he brings to class instills respect, comfort and confidence in his students. Doubtlessly, he is the most dynamic professor in the program.

Excellent professor!!! His charisma and passion for teaching is contagious and stimulates student engagement. Dr. Diasio encouraged every student to contribute and participate in class discussions and activities. our creativity. The learning environment, guest speakers, and class material made it for a GREAT class.. I would pay top dollar for this course with Dr. Diasio. Thank you for providing us with a great learning experience and inspiring us to innovate and not to settle for the status quo. You are a professor that I will never forget and will encourage fellow MBA students to enroll in future Innovation courses. Thank you for encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones!!

In my opinion, he is a great prof. He teaches very well, and he has good command on his subject matter. The nature of one the week class is exceed my expectations.

He is very excited to teach this class and shows a lot of enthusiasm. I can tell that he loves his job. He is excited to hear our innovations. He allows us to work in a way that we can be creative and innovative in our presentations. Professor Diasio is the best teacher for this class.

He gets our energy up and makes the class interesting. Learning is more than just listening to lectures. He teaches us how to work effectively in groups and makes learning fun.

Steve provided a great energy and stimulation for debate that made the course very interesting and valuable. He has a great approach to learning and facilitates in a way that includes everybody in the discussion.

He is a great professor. Loved his energy and the way he engaged and empowered the students.

Professor Diasio is very engaging and created an energy in the call room that I did not know was possible. This energy allowed us to continue discussions begun in the classroom even past the end of the class. I think that the charisma that the professor brings to the room is one of his strongest traits as an instructor. I especially liked how he was able to facilitate the learning and creativity in the classroom in the exercises that he organized. I entered the class without a sense of being creative in a traditional sense, and my viewpoint was most definitely changed, with my perspective being enhanced. I credit Professor Diasio's unique approach to facilitating his envirronment as a catalyst for this change.

Professor Diasio brought out the best in all of us. He allowed us to explore creativity and innovation in ways we'd never considered before. He was the perfect instructor for a course like this.
