1. Please evaluate your involvement and efforts in the course (in the areas of attendance, participation, assignments, deadlines, and preparedness). Outstanding (5) Unsatisfactory (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 55% 27% 18% 0% 0% 4.4 Comments: I always have my assignments on time and I'm usually prepared, but I could probably stand to participate more. i feel that do to the fun and engaged class i was able to put my all into each assignment given and be present for all the classes I was very excited to begin my minor in Business of Art & Design. For the majority of the semester I would say I was very involved and motivated to complete the course. great very interesting class I came everyday. I listened carefully to the lecture and always stated my opinion. I always turned in my assignments on the due date and I was always prepared for class. 2. How much do you feel you have accomplished in this course? Please comment, why? Very Much (5) Very Little (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 55% 18% 27% 0% 0% 4.3 Comments: I accomplished a ton in the course. Steve is very passionate about the subject matter, and makes learning about some of the less exciting stuff really fun. I feel like i learned a lot of things about management in from this course, and i feel like I have done all the required tasks in this course https://carson.ringling.edu/CourseEval/EvaluationResults.jsp?NEXUSID=8857&TERMID=23

I've learned some things. I've never taken a business course before, so everything has been pretty new and interesting. I feel that i have learn alot within this course and have a foundation level of business that will help me continue my minor within the boad courses. I accomplished a good amount taking this course. Learned a lot about the fundamentals of business and worked toward a greater goal the whole semester. We didn't really accomplish that much in a business sense but I did think the class taught me quite a lot about how to deal with group workload. A lot of work was done and much more was learned in this course. The workload was not overbearing which helped me complete most of my work and I am grateful. i feel like the material was taught in a very interesting way I just wish the project was structured differently, to involve changes in business. I learned a lot some was about knowledge about the course itself but more than anything the semester project he gave us was something I have never done before so I learned a lot within my group. Milestones were really helpful because they gave a lot of structure to the class and Steve's critiques were always really helpful because he has good insight and experience. Steve gave us focus and vision.
Part 2: Questions About the Course
Toggle Comments
1. Which course project(s) or concepts were the most useful or worthwhile? Comments: The group project worked well, and really backed up what we were learning in class While the entirety of the work needed for the episodes was big, I thought it was a very worthwhile subject. the final project is what i found interesting though that i need to learned that doing it lsat minute is not really a good idea We only had one ongoing project, and all the concepts were pretty important so there's not really much to say about this. Finger Puppet show gave me a way to memorize my course lectures as well as learn group structures and effective collaboration within the course. Everything about this class was a great concept of what an art college class should be. It keeps on the right mind of thinking without the typical and boring presentations we are preached by with every elective and liberal art course. I have never gotten so much out of a class yet, and Steve does a great job with getting the students involved with little projects toward a bigger goal with fun little games in between to keep our interest. I thought just reading the book was the most worthwhile thing in the class. The in challenge classes such as the marshmallow tower The main, semester long project was the most worthwhile. Going through slides, watching a presentation, and taking notes is not enough for me, so being able to work on the project was very beneficial. the interesting way of the principles of management and general business. Milestones, lectures and past work examples that we could go to. 2. What was the least useful aspect of this course? There wasn't really a "least useful" aspect. I wasn't a huge fan of the book we were using. nothing i guess Hard to say. It was all pretty equal in the end. i really feel that their was no specific least useful aspect for everything that we have accomplished within the class room related to the lessons and help with the understanding better. Writing logs were a bit much, but they were understandable. I really didn't like working in one group for the whole semester. I would have rather had like three different groups over the course of the semester doing three different small projects with real companies. the writing logs I understand how important presentations are, but the repetition of the slides throughout the course did not seem so necessary. how many episodes for the tv show we had to do I cant think of anything I feel like everything was helpful. 3. How much did projects and class activities assist in understanding course topics? Explain why or why not. Very Much (5) Very Little (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 82% 9% 0% 9% 0% 4.6 Comments: Everything was tied in together. Stephen is trying very hard to make us engages in remembering the informations that we learned by doing small activities which works well i believe Yeah. Especially when we had to get into teams and work together. A lot of the readings started making too much sense then. The projects for me were the founding reason i was able to understand the material that was being conveyed during the lectures I thought there was a disconnect between the television show and the teaching instead of letting us come up with a cool television show and pitch it using the business principles you forced us to use the principles in the show itself making it kinda dull. if you wanted it to go viral then you have to just let us make something we think will and apply the principles through the papers. Learned the most in class Despite the activities we did and the main project, most of the work was very interactive. I am a visual, handson learner so all of these were helpful in understanding course topics. for me i understood the bigger picture but the assignment was kinda limited , i wish we could have jut made a tv show about management and not just finger puppets. but the step back helps us analyze what we are doing to get the concepts across. Because our projects had everything to do with the topics in class. 4. In summary, how would you rate the overall content and organization of the course? Comments: Very well organized. Pretty good. I liked the order of the things we learned. It could be pretty fun at times. In the end the content and material and how the class was organized with weekly dates to help me and the group get parts done so that we didn't have to do everything in the end, really helped me the power points and lectures were clear and engaging. It was the same stuff over again. Everything was very organized and followed a set line of objectives which was very useful to understand the topics more clearly. I had a lot of fun with the project while having fun. The process of this project became a journey a learning experience I really enjoyed it.

1. How would you rate the instructor's concern for student development in the course? Outstanding (5) Unsatisfactory (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 73% 27% 0% 0% 0% 4.7 Comments: Steve is a great instructor who really cares about his students, and that shows every time we're in class. He tries so hard to make us engaged in the class participation which i really appreciate. Pretty good. He's very willing to answer emails and he answers fairly quickly, too. He's been pretty understanding and he takes time to sit down with groups to make sure that we're at a good place. really helped me grasp the understanding of concepts that were discussed in class as well as during the group activities and meeting to help the projects The instructor was more than interested in knowing that all students went through a certain process to take the first step in becoming great managers. he is very concerned and passionate about his job and making sure we understand. Always wondering if he was clear enough and always made sure all his students knew that he was always available for any questions or meetings whether it was in person or in email. 2. Did the instructor communicate course concepts, projects or other relevant information with reasonable clarity? early time in the morning, by making the power points interesting and fun i was able to grasp the concepts better. There were a lot of times I didn't quite know what an assignment meant even after asking. I would say the instructor was very clear with course concepts. Early on the project was described in great detail and did not need to be reexplained at all. Yes not only was it reasonable it was relatable. 3. Did the instructor's evaluations and critiques assist your learning? Please comment why or why not? Very Much (5) Very Little (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 64% 18% 18% 0% 0% 4.5 Comments: Steve gave great critique on group projects and individual assignments, and really went in to detail with his notes. every feedback for the final project, he said it to the point which i really need the most in order to make our work better I guess so. His comments always let me know what direction to go next, and how to improve. Weekly meetings with the groups to help see the progress and answer questions were a great help to fixing the errors early and made it more easy to spot mistakes early on always had good notes about what we could improve on in class The evaluations and critiques were useful to improve on our work progress, but the concepts and projects themselves are more assistive in learning. Yes. He gave us insight, direction, focus and relatable examples so we could better comprehend his critiques or anything he ever explained. 4. In summary, rate the effectiveness of instruction in the course. Please comment. Outstanding (5) Unsatisfactory (1) 5 4 3 2 1 Avg. 64% 36% 0% 0% 0% 4.6 Comments: I thought the course was great, I truly learned a lot and had a good time doing it. Pretty good. I learned a lot and the teacher cares about his students. overall the course has helped me get my basic understanding of business and with a great teacher that was enthusiastic about teaching it i truly enjoyed the course overall Very enthusiastic and engaged instruction and motivating to get the work done. Very concise and clear.

Comments: sometimes the lighting is distracting because it keeps turning on and off repeatedly Good. Safe. Air conditioner and lights always work. Whenever my group had to get together and do our, we would meet in the course classroom which was always available for us to work in. Nothing negative about the facilities for the course. Yes, we have everything we need while we are in class and the classes are spacious perfect for all our group exercises. 2. In summary, rate the overall quality of facilities. Please comment. Everything works and we can all probably get out quickly if there's a fire. Clean, organized, spacious, available, and useful. Basic, simple, useful
