Section 3. Comments The following are responses to two openended questions from your students pertaining to you, and the course. Please provide any additional comments with respect to Stephen Diasio Comments Clear instructions Dr Diasio really stepped outside of the box when creating the finger puppet mgmt style of learning. Some students learn best by applying the reading, videos, and lectures. I was initially hesistant about the class after reviewing the syllabus. I'm so glad that I hung in there and completed the semester. Awesome job. Excellent teacher. Promptly responded to emails. Great professor, but a little unorganized. Great teacher but would like to see him respond to students email. Great course He has a very innovative approach to teaching/learning. It is tedious, fun, and definitely shapes students for future career paths! i agree with the use of the some of the methods he used. I am very pleased with my decision to take this class. Not only did I learn about learn about the many management concepts, and the processes, but the way organizations think and try to achieve goals I had a great time working with my team and developing interpersonal skills and experience managing a project. Thank you. I had a good time in this class and I understood the concepts we learned very well. I thoroughly enjoyed this course I truly enjoyed creating the finger puppet show and allowing to use as much creativity as possible. It allowed me to fully engage in this course Professor Diasio was easy to reach and was always very understanding. Stephen Diasio has a unique way of teaching and his projects are one of a kind. I really enjoyed working with my group. The class was good and I learned a lot working with the group I was in, especially contributing as a team player. However, looking at the final exam sample questions, I'm afraid too much time and focus was spent on the group work. While the episodes illustrated concepts from the book, they were broad and topical while the exam questions are ultra in depth comparatively. Perhaps some quizzes could have been made in between to pace and prepare ourselves better for the final exam. The course was well laid out. My only gripes with the course are 1) the fact that we are thrown into the groups and expected to complete a major milestone within a week a the course. It would be nice if we were given a little more time to get to know our group partners a little bit before having to complete an assignment. 2) the course does not facilitate the learning of the book material at all, and the lecture videos are not always informative. If you are going to have a final exam, have something we do throughout the semester help us learn about the subject matter. The entire course was focused around the project (which I liked) so about 2 weeks before the final I hadn't had any reason to even open the book. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The group work environment provided a good experience for my future endeavors. Learned new and different methods to approach conflicts within the group thanks to your guidance. The video lectures were very helpful and added to the overall effectiveness of the course. Very knowledgeable, presented information in an interesting and unique way. Very Well composed. While this course was quite different and presented real working world situations (which I think is great!). I found navigating through the information to understand expectations sat at a very high level of difficulty. I realize this was a regular term converted to summer as well as taken online, and you as well as TA Weakly have been exceptional in answering all of our group questions, however I often was unsure as to whether or not what was being submitted was what you wanted or required each week. If this was how the course was designed, great because again, it presented a realistic view of how the working world can be. It was also very stressful week to week. That said, I really enjoyed the creativity we were able to express in your course and the final submissions. I would take your class again if needed, but maybe in the classroom setting. Thank you!

Please provide any additional comments with respect to MAN3025792 (56449) Principles of Management Comments Enjoyed the class. great class. I like the way this class is structured Great class. Very engaging and enjoyed the finger puppet management work that we did. I really enjoyed this course. The hands on learning approach really made a difference in not only learning key concepts but incorporating them into our daily lives. The class as a whole was very interesting and fun because of the nontraditional approach to the subject matter. the class was taught differently. The group environment is a very efficient method to teach this course. The online format of this course was difficult to navigate. Resources and instructions were often in separate locations and scattered. The section did not work very well in an online setting. The syllabus appeared catered to the inclass sections. Because of Dr. Diasio's unique course delivery method (the Fingerpuppet Management YouTube assignment), the syllabus was not sufficient for explaining the expectations of the course. It appeared (from the syllabus) that class time is earmarked for groups to work on the semester long project which is invaluable due to the general unreliability of college students. The majority of the 'group' project inevitably is completed by a small percentage of the group. In my experience 'group work' is never distributed equally. Once you factor in the online delivery of this course, the previous is exacerbated ten fold. This class has taught me a lot of management. I will use this for my future jobs. This course is well constructed, but those enrolling MUST know that this class is very group oriented and time management is key. This course was truly unlike any other that I have taken due to the fact that a majority of my grade depended on successfully collaborating with others. It was stressful and frustrating at times, but it pushed me to be a very organized leader and teammate. I definitely felt like the course modules could have been formatted more clearly. At times, I had to check multiple module pages and announcements just to get the requirements for 1 assignment. I also feel like I mostly interacted and got feedback from the TA instead of the professor himself. I am glad I took this course online over the summer, and I feel like I gained from it. This is a great way to introduce students to management, it's approach is very creative and effective. Very fast paced, requires high degree of comfort with online software and social media.
