Group Think- A mode of thinking in which pursuit of agreement among members becomes so dominant that it overrides a realistic appraisal of alternative courses of action (p.341)
Reflections Group Reflection Taking the concepts learned in class and applying them in real life helps the student to retain the information and relate it to real life experiences. While coming up with ideas and applying concepts to a narrative is difficult the project does ensure that the team members actually retain the material taught in class and read from Management. The whole project is a lesson in Management in itself, to coordinate with team members, to apply wellreceived ideas, keep the flow of the work going and, above all, keep a consistent idea running are key to the management, something we have all learned in this project
.
Anrogely Albino- I enjoyed the fact that through the Finger Puppet Management TV Show project we were able to learn management concepts working with our group; whether if it was working together as a group of diverse individuals or the concepts we chose to film about. Working with a group of people who have different backgrounds of skills and leadership helped us to efficiently bring together ideas and to execute to the best of our abilities to create the TV show. I am able to retain more when I have the hands-on experience, which I had while working in this project. The idea of this project had me nervous since when I first meet people I am really shy. I was concerned that I wouldn't contribute much because of it, but I was able to overcome it and participate as much as I could.
Victor Rook- The past several weeks in management class have been very challenging and rewarding. The fact that there were no defined roles in our group made it very difficult, because decisions had to be collaborated on by our seven group members. The collaboration process was arduous and uncomfortable in the beginning. With practice the group was able to learn valuable communication skills and realize that there are no bad ideas. I am proud to report that it has been a gratifying and productive development.
Geraldine Murcia- Throughout this course I have learned concepts of management by the different activities in class. I enjoy implementing the different techniques learned in the class while working with my group. We have had some stressful moments but I am pleased at how our collaborations have turned out and at the support and cooperation I get from our group. It is interesting to see a project evolve after people put their ideas together and add to the discussion and to the decision making process what they are best at.

Reflections cont. Vincent Rescigno- I quickly became interested in this style of learning after attending the first class. Hearing words like “design challenge” and “mantra” I knew that this class was different. When I took on this project, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to provide enough value to the team. Over the many weeks and meetings we participated in I was able to share an experience like no other. The group dynamic is always fast pace, upbeat and excited to get this done. I’d say our biggest strength was the communication between all of us and the feeling of being “easy going” at times. Our biggest weakness was the slowing down of production during our meetings. This was a result of meeting right after a three hour class. I enjoyed that all of the management concepts were relatable during the process of this project. I’ve never been taught in such a unique way and that kept me interested throughout the semester.
Matthew Grandich- I enjoyed seeing the different Lauren Kelly- At first, I was worried forms of management within this project, coming up working with such a large group of people with ideas for management for a TV show ensures on an extensive project like this. I feared that you must link the management elements our opinions would clash and we would altogether into one whole. This can be hard, many not be able to accomplish the tasks that ideas and concepts within Hitt, Black and Porter’s needed to get done. At the beginning of Management are separate concepts that generally do the project, we did struggle t o decide on a not cross with one another. However, to find out a cohesive concept to focus on. However as way to link management ideas means that you must the project progressed, I began noticing really understand the material and I can think of no correlations between concepts we were better way to test one’s knowledge of management. learning in class and difficulties we were having in our group. By effectively Tinson Nhon- I like the fact that I get to play with identifying these concepts and knowing puppets for a grade, and I really enjoyed making how to overcome them, our group was them. At first I thought this project was going to be able to successful complete our project. a piece of cake because I heard puppets and I thought to myself how childish this should be fun. Although it is fun at times it is a little more challenging than I thought it would be. Especially trying to get ideas going after a three hour class. Being together with the group is always fun though, although sometimes we have a hard time sticking to one idea. All in all I hate school and this project makes me hate it a little less at times
