This manifesto is not just a list of plans, it is a shared vision for the future of Junior College built on the foundation of inclusivity, innovation, and genuine student representation We are committed to turning these ideas into reality, creating opportunities that will benefit all students, no matter their background or interests.

HARRISON PRESIDENT
1. Install vending machines in different locations around the campus for quicker access to snacks and drinks.
2. Improve the already existing hangout areas across campus for students to relax, socialise and recharge during breaks.
3. SDM in KSJC will advocate for cheaper, healthier meal options in the canteen to promote student wellness and balance.
4. Host workshops for exam techniques and stress management.
5. Reintroduce Subject Representatives.
6. Install solar-powered charging bays for electronic devices in the JC pjazza and various other outdoor areas.
7. Ensure that the KSJC office extends longer opening hours in order to be able to listen to student complaints and suggestions.
8. Elevate the KSJC student card to include promotions from various sectors such as technology, clothing and other various goods stores.
NUR VICEPRESIDENT
9. Connect students with local NGOs for volunteer opportunities.
10. Partner with local businesses to offer careerbased internships giving students practical experience in fields such as marketing, finance and technology, bridging the gap between education and industry.
11. SDM in KSJC will work to refurbish the already existing prayer room, helping to promote multiculturalism at Junior College.
12. Install a Bike maintenance station which will give students the ability to park and service their vehicles.
13. SDM in KSJC will look to strengthen Wi-Fi across the Junior College Campus.
14. Introduce a buddy system where new students are paired with second years, helping them transition smoothly and feel welcomed into the college experience.
15. Collaborate with the relevant companies to offer discounts to Art and Graphical students when purchasing their course-related materials.
16. Provide the addition of new PlayStation games in the Youth Hub as well as upgrading the current PlayStation to the latest version, PS5.
SDM in KSJC will be more vocal on social and current affairs that directly affect the student body.

17. Create the first ever KSJC futsal team.
18. SDM in KSJC will organise a number of educational events and activities, in order to continue raising awareness in the fight against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity and religion.
19. SDM in KSJC will provide a ‘Rent-a-Towel’ service to students to help combat the ‘No-towel-no-entry’ school gym regulations currently in place.
20. Organise the first ever KSJC Pet Therapy Day to continue raising awareness on mental health.
21. Organise a student visit to the European Parliament, offering a unique opportunity to learn about EU institutions and their decisionmaking process.
22. Continue discussions with KSJC to provide AC Units in all viable classrooms across campus.
23. Regular certified seminars to discuss different topics that go beyond the curriculum such as time management, first aid, photoshop and video editing.
24. Provide support for students to research and publish policy papers on social causes they are passionate about, fostering advocacy and awareness.
Encourage a Student Political Atmosphere — making the college a space where political discussions are accepted.

25. SDM in KSJC will work towards creating collaborations such as events with other clubs like Teatru Kullegg, Movie club and Manga club.
26. SDM in KSJC will launch the first ever ‘KSJC Lecture Feedback Form’ in collaboration with the Junior College administration.
27. SDM in KSJC will ensure that it goes as paperless as possible, keeping printing to a minimum and drastically reducing paper waste, this includes also discussions with the administration to have all future assignments submitted via VLE.
28. Install a period locker at campus to ensure easy and discreet access to menstrual products for students.
29. Look into the addition of providing more seating in the Foyer area.
30. Implement a Book-aClassroom System — a platform ideal for group projects, meetings and study sessions.
31. Organise field trips to sites of academic and professional significance allowing students to gain real-world insights and hands-on learning experiences that complement their studies.
32. Establish an anonymous suggestion box where students can safely share their ideas, feedback and concerns to help improve the school community.
Hold talks with the administration about the creation of a Multisensory room to be used freely by Junior College students.
33. Continue improving the relations of corporate sponsors that KSJC is currently associated with as well as finding new sponsorships to give JC students new opportunities.
34. Organise a fundraising event in aid of Puttinu Cares.
35. SDM in KSJC will host a Pop-up Thrift Shop.
36. Inviting prominent persons in the Drama Sector to Theatre and Performance Lectures to scout for students, giving them drama opportunities, including workshops for free.
37. Lobby with the relevant authorities for a system of direct buses from Valletta to Junior College solely, in an effort to reduce congested buses.
38. Revamp the already existing volleyball court at the Junior College located outside sports hall, along with giving it a multi-purpose use for additional sports such as netball and badminton.
39. Completely revamp the water fountains across the Junior College campus.
40. SDM in KSJC will set up the KSJC sub-committee in order to have a more streamlined point of access where concerns and necessary changes can be discussed with KSJC.
Provide resources, guidance and networking opportunities for students to launch their own start-up companies, fostering an environment for innovation and entrepreneurship on campus.

41. Transform the games room into a more sociable area on campus by adding comfortable seating including sofas, to help create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
42. Develop a new and improved KSJC mobile app that will centralise important resources such as notes, event updates and notifications for students.
43. Look to increase accessibility for wheelchair users.
44. Host workshops going into detail about financial literacy discussing topics such as taxation, budgeting and spending.
45. Visit secondary school prospective students to promote life at Junior College as-well as provide information on what students may expect on this new adventure.
46. SDM in KSJC will look into the possibility of adding compost bins around various green areas.
47. SDM in KSJC will organize an informative Q/A session with the President of Malta.
48. Organise courses on using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator at subsidised fees.
Launch the ‘KSJC Podcast’ where students can voice their opinions as well as discuss current affairs freely.

49. Introduce the KSJC Football Tournament, a tournament bringing students together.
50. Introduce sessions that educate Junior College students on the requirements needed for various UM courses whilst also providing guidance on applications and the overall process of enrolling as a University of Malta student.
51. SDM in KSJC will host open discussions on sensitive topics like abortion and euthanasia, creating a safe space for students to explore diverse viewpoints, engage in dialogue, and form informed opinions.
52. Introduce the ‘KSJC Gozo Carnival Weekender’ .
53. Implement a better organised recycling system across campus, encouraging students to be more environmentally conscious.
54. Revitalise Freshers’ Week to create a more engaging and memorable introduction to campus life. This updated program will feature a variety of social, academic and extracurricular events.
55. The creation of regular student-led open mic nights for music and poetry.
56. Gaming Week: Collaborate with technological companies to set up PCs, consoles and other gaming equipment at the JC foyer for a week dedicated to gaming competitions and tournaments.
Introduce the 'Meet Your Role Model' Event - this will include job shadowing with leading persons in various sectors such as politics,sports, social media, and performing arts

57. Introduce a buscade for Second Year students as part of their school leaving party.
58. In addition to the KSJC Student Card, SDM shall offer essential academic resources to make learning materials more accessible to students.
59. Provide updated Advanced and Intermediate level study notes to assist students in their academic preparation, in collaboration with student representatives.
61. SDM in KSJC will look into the introduction of EU studies as part of the JC curriculum.
62. SDM in KSJC will reintroduce the Annual KSJC International Leisure Trip
60. Host regular student-led art exhibitions, music performances and open mic nights to showcase student talent in music, poetry and art.
