SDPB Education Specialist Steven “Science Steve” Rokusek develops resource materials for specific content areas and provides in-service training at schools and education conferences across South Dakota for both educational staff and parents.
His engaging science demonstrations intentionally use everyday objects to make science accessible and fun for everyone. Originally from Tyndall, Rokusek graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in Biology and Computer Education. He has taught physics, physical science, anatomy, biology, and earth science.
He also connects teachers and parents throughout the state with SDPB and PBS KIDS resources and maintains content for SDPB.org’s Education pages, the SDPB Digital Learning Library and SDPB’s submissions to the national PBS LearningMedia site.
