SDPB Spotlight

Connect with SDPB and your neighbors about topics that matter to South Dakotans with SDPB Spotlight. Each month SDPB invites you to lend your perspective and experience to conversations that help us all better understand the history, issues, and events that impact South Dakota’s communities.

South Dakota is home to over 1.2 million acres of forest land, primarily ponderosa pine in the western Black Hills. SDPB goes deeper into The Black Hills National Forest and the tourism, timber industry, landowners and other stakeholders who depend on its health and sustainability.

Coming Up - September: Literary Heritage

In the Moment takes a literary road trip on the way to the South Dakota Festival of Books. We’ll follow the breadcrumbs of our state’s literary heritage, explore the works of iconic authors, and meet some of the region’s rising literary stars. Tell us your favorite South Dakota book and how it changed your perspective on the place we call home. Leave a message at 605-951-0740.
