#JoiningMoenkedick
UMC junior guard Alexa Thielman is close behind her teammate Katrina Moenkedick as Thielman soon will be joining Moenkedick in the 1,000 point club. Thielman currently has 971 points and needs just 29 points to become the 10th player in program history to tally 1,000 points. Thielman has had her strongest season as a Golden Eagle, averaging 16.4 points per game.

#1000Points UMC junior forward Katrina Moenkedick became the ninth player in program history to tally 1,000 points, which she accomplished against Minot State University Friday. Moenkedick now has 1,026 career points to sit eighth all-time. Moenkedick is also just 31 rebounds from 500 boards, which would make her the fourth player to secure 500 or more rebounds. With 1,000 points and 500 rebounds, Moenkedick would join Kari Score and Karna Plaine as UMC players to achieve 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles have their fate in their own hands as they look to accomplish a team goal and host the first round of the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament Wed., Feb. 25 at Lysaker Gymnasium. UMC currently sits alone in third place in the NSIC North. One win or a Minnesota Duluth loss guarantees that UMC will finish in the top four and secure a home game.
