Lego Camp: LEGO Lover’s Camp is a fun and hands-on camp where campers build amazing LEGO creations each day of camp. LEGO Campers will build, play, and enjoy a snacktime together each day. Rising K-4th grade students.

Home Economics & Etiquette: Back by popular demand! Mrs. Hirt’s etiquette camp is now combined with her popular home economics camp! Now you can learn how to make all of your favorite foods and the proper way to eat them!

Awesome Art: Join Mrs. Viera for a week full of fun creating artwork. Many forms of media will be used as we create a beautiful tableau while enjoying time together.

Rising K-4th grade students.

Around the World: Prepare for adventure with Mr. Potter!

Campers in this program will embark on a journey around the world to discover new and exciting cultures. Each day will focus on a different continent. Students will enjoy the language, food, games and traditions for each country.

Rising 3rd-6th grade students.

ASL Camp: This camp is designed to introduce students to the beautiful language of the American Deaf community: American Sign Language (ASL). Students will learn the basics of ASL, including the alphabet and how to introduce themselves. Rising 7th-12th grade students.

Engineering Motors: Join Mr. Boyne for a week full of engineering fun. Students will build and construct with motors. Rising 8th-12th grade students.

Improv Comedy: Learn the art of Improv and laugh along the way. Mr. Boyne is an experienced improv performer and will have you laughing non-stop. Learn how to entertain others with the gift of improv. Rising 5th-8th grade students.

Web Development: In this camp, students will be introduced to the basics of webpage development and coding. This will involve exposing students to HTML and CSS coding. By the end of the week, students will have a functional webpage. Rising 6th-8th grade students.

Coding Video Games: Let’s program video games with Mr. Boyne. Learn the computer coding to create games that can be played with your friends. Rising 6th-12th grade students.

Lower School

Ready, Set, Go: It’s time to get ready to go back to school! Students will enjoy time together as they prepare to get ready for kindergarten and first grades. Ms. Fagan makes it fun as we look forward to back-to-school season.

Rising K-1st grade students.

Summer Success: Join Ms. Hirt for a week of fun as we revisit math, reading, and writing concepts. Students will enjoy fun games as we preview concepts. First and second graders will have camp in the morning, while third and fourth graders will have camp in the afternoon.

Rising 1st-4th grade students.

Checkmate Chess: Join Triangle Chess coaches for a week full of chess. Any level of experience is welcome as students learn the strategic game in a fun, collegial atmosphere. Students will learn the ins and outs of this classic game while competing with one another.

Rising 1st-5th grade students.

STEAM: Students should be prepared for a camp full of hands-on activities as they learn all about the scientfic method, energy, space and ecosystems. It will be lots of fun experimenting and learning all about science. Experiments in STEAM camps I and II will be different, so feel free to take both! Rising 2nd-4th grade students.

Lego Robotics: In this camp, students will be introduced to robotics and coding using LEGO robotics. Students will build robots, program them, and use them to complete fun challenges. Rising 7th-9th grade students.

Boat Building: Students will work in groups of six to construct a wooden boat. Learn about the math and science behind boat building and create a boat with a team of your friends. On Friday, we’ll travel to a local lake to launch the boats and test them out! This camp will meet in the mornings Monday-Thursday and all day on Friday. Rising 6th-8th grade students.

All Booked Up!: The fifth and sixth grade summer reading novels will be read together and discussed. We will cover all story elements and complete comprehension activities and projects to enhance the students understanding of the novel. Some reading of the text may be required outside of class time. One week for rising 5th grade and one week for rising 6th grade student.s

Algebra Re-Boot: Spend one week reviewing the main ideas and skills covered of Algebra I. Students will work in a small setting to review skills hands-on in a supportive and encouraging environment. Rising 7th-10th grade students.

Young Explorers Camp: Campers will enjoy a fun-filled week of crafts, center-based games and activities, outdoor water and sensory play, songs, read-alouds, and creative snacks, all while preparing their minds and bodies for the upcoming school year. Each day activities will be based around a fun summer theme. Rising preK-Kindergarten students.

Spanish Language & Culture Camp: Get ready to learn all about the Spanish language and hispanic culture! In this incredible camp, students will participate in devotions done in Spanish, as well fun playing traditional games from Spanish-speaking countries, doing yoga in Spanish, dancing to Latin American music, and even a fiesta featuring Latin American food. Rising Kindergarten-3rd grade students.

Measurement Mania!: In this hands-on measurement camp, students will be estimating, calculating, weighing, and constructing! They’ll work with partners as they explore the outdoors, measure objects, collect data, fly paper airplanes, and build constructions using a variety of materials. Rising 3rd-5th grade students.

The Epicurean Society: Here’s your chance to learn about the science behind the fine foods that we consume. Each day we will explore through science experiments, make a delicious treat, and evaluate what we learned for future healthy eating choices. Rising 6th-8th grade students.

Inspire Basketball Camp: Young athletes will be introduced to the fundamentals of the sport of basketball. The athletes will learn proper footwork, ball-handling, and form shooting techniques through tournament style play. Rising K-4th grade students.

Next Level Basketball Camp: Athletes will be introduced to the fundamentals of the sport of basketball. Athletes will learn the proper footwork, ball-handling, and form shooting techniques if a comfortable and fun environment. Rising 5th-12th grade students.

Next Level Elite Basketball Camp: Athletes will be challenged to utilize the fundamentals of the game to further develop their skill set. The athletes will learn proper footwork, ball-handling, and form shooting techniques as well as incorporate elite offensive moves that help create space for a shot and/or beat their defender off the dribble. Rising 6th-12th grade students.

Summer Athletic Camps

June-July

Football Camp: In this camp, participants will have the opportunity to work with Coach Viera and his staff to learn the fundamentals, proper technique, teamwork, and overall skill set for the sport of football. Athletes will participate in various sports drills for offensive and defensive players that will assist them in raising their overall football knowledge and skills. Rising 5th-8th grade students.

Soccer Camp: Participants will be introduced to the fundamental techniques of the sport of soccer. Athletes will learn positions, dribbling, and footwork necessary to become a better soccer player. Coach Cornejo and his staff with provide skilled instruction to the participants and allow them to implement what they are being taught in an encouraging team setting. Rising 1st-5th grade students.

Tennis Camp: In this camp, the athletes will be taught the rules and various techniques of the sport of tennis. The athletes will be provided the basis of the fundamental skill sets required to become a better tennis player. Coach Crowder and her staff will work with the participants to assist in developing their swing, footwork and overall technique required for the sport of tennis. Rising1st-5th grade students.

Summer Academy welcomes students from across the Triangle region to join our excellent teachers on campus in June and July. Courses bear the full credit of a school year course and will be graded.
