WHAT ’S IN YOUR FOOD

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

What’s in your food is an awareness campaign with the simple objective in mind of bringing to light the harmful ingredients added to foods. The hand done typography which both works as organized information and as image, is playfully rendered in order to present the overwhelming information in a docile manner. The viewer is meant to see the type as a whole; creating by basic the color and shape of the food being illustrated. The purpose of this campaign is to educate the group of people who do not know the ingredients that are being added to their foods. This same group will be more inclined to pursue more organic foods, which are not treated with harmful chemicals.







PROFOUND

TYPOGRAPHY INSTILLATION

Profound is a typography installation. The installation has further meaning behind it, the pins and books are specifically used to personify the meaning of the word profound. The word profound means, penetrating or entering deeply into subjects of thought or knowledge; having deeply insight or understanding. The books represent knowledge and the pins are piercing the books or knowledge. The installation is 12.5’ long by 3’ tall with approximately 16,500 pins. The typographic installation is meaningful both in content and in form.



Profound: 1.) penetrating or entering deeply into subjects of thought or knowledge; having deep insight or understanding: a profound thinker. 2.) originating in or penetrating to the depths of one’s being; profound grief. 3.) extending, situated, or originating far down, or far beneath the surface: the profound depths of the ocean.

B r a s s Ta c k s i s a s u s t a i n a b l e living magazine focusing on living simple, and simply living. It is meant to take the reader back to the basics and essentials of living. It should provide the reader with the tools necessary to get back to the bare essentials. The magazine will give the reader examples and guides on how t o l i v e s i m p l y. B r a s s Ta c k s i s making the going green craze easy to manage and acquire for the reader.





HUNT CLUB

ENVIRONMENTAL BRANDING

The Hunt Club is a restaurant and lounge. The rebranding process involved changing the sports bar theme of the restaurant to a more traditional up scale environment. This included a new logo, menu, interior and exterior remodeling. The Hunt Club now embodies the contemporary traditional setting equal to its location.

SKULL CANDY

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

This Ad Campaign is for Skull Candy’s Artist series line of headphones. The line is an expression by fans of the Skull Candy. The artist can upload and enter the work(s) of art via the website. Anyone can upload their work or images to create their own personalized headphones. The significant part of the campaign is the visual design is left up to the followers of the brand. This campaign gives them the chance to express themselves.

METAMORPHOSIS

BOOK COVER DESIGN

Metamorphosis is a short story written by Franz Kafka. In the story the main character Gregor Samsa awakes from a terrible dream to find that he has turned into a horrible vermin. Though the reason for his transformation is never addressed, the book is centered around the reaction of the protagonists family. The book is studied because of the unanswered questions and the room for the readers interpretation. The white space on the cover is meant to represent the lack of explanation for the protagonists situation.

PIER 1 IMPORTS

PACKAGING DESIGN

These pattern designs are made from items found in Pier 1 stores. They are seperated into groups of similar decor or items found in specific rooms, or sections in the stores. The patterns are a reflection of Pier 1’s unique home decor, furniture, and accents. It extends their brand identity through packaging, by showcasing the products in a visually striking manner. This is an interesting form of advertising as well, by getting more exposure of the items out to the general public.

IDENTITY AND WAYFINDING

The Bryant-Denny stadium is home to the Alabama college football team. The stadium itself lacks a personal identity. It has no individual logo or branding. Signs are not easy to read and are outdated. The stadium needs to repesent the school and many successful seasons as a football team. This project is a way finder system for the stadium. It should be traditional, and easy for new visitors to understand.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHIC DESIGN

This project is a trade show booth inspired and designed after the Alexander McQueen spring 2012 Ready to Wear Collection. The booth is meant to support the brand of the line and use the same inspiration of the designer to create an atmosphere for the line. The booth tells a story of the line as the viewer walks through the space.
