Enjoy great days out at the seaside year-round, with the 5-star Scottish Seabird Centre.

Dive-in to the Discovery Experience

- Explore the wonders of Scotland’s marine wildlife and habitats with new exhibits and interactive games.

- Control the interactive live cameras and zoom in on amazing local wildlife, including Northern gannets on the Bass Rock and puffins, guillemots and razorbills on the Isle of May National Nature Reserve.

- Immerse yourself in the 3D Wildlife Theatre Film Experience.

- Swim with dolphins and walk with the gannets on the virtual reality dive.

- Ever changing programme of events throughout the year.

Did you know:

- Bass Rock is the world’s largest Northern gannet colony.

- Isle of May is the biggest puffin colony on the East Coast of Britain.

- Grey seal pup season is from September to December.

Seaside sun deck

The Seabird Café offers locally sourced produce, vegan and gluten free options, with stunning views out to the Bass Rock and the beach. Browse a range of tempting treats and ecofriendly souvenirs in our Gift Shop. Entrance to the café and shop is free and well-behaved dogs are welcome. A selection of our gift products can be purchased from our online shop.

We are a marine conservation and education charity and are part of the UK network of science and discovery centres.

Your seabird membership will contribute to conservation and education projects that both help raise awareness of, and protect and restore the marine environment; helping seabirds to thrive. Seabird members also enjoy free entry all year round, and discounts to events and wildlife boat trips.

Learning

Whatever your age, we can tailor our learning activities and resources to meet your needs. Schools and Group visits are welcome year round and our school sessions are linked to the Curriculum for Excellence.

Discovery Experience admission is available to all boat passengers at a discounted price.

Boat trips are very popular and we advise booking in advance at www.seabird.org

All trips are subject to weather, sea conditions and demand (minimum numbers apply). Trips are not guaranteed, but a full refund or alternative dates/times will be offered in the event of cancellation for the above reasons. Level of mobility required. Please check with the Boat Office for advice. Duration of trips is approximate. Sightings of particular wildlife not guaranteed.
