The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) approved the first nine razor clam digs of the season! Last season was intermittent and short. The early-bird dig kicks off the season this Friday, 09/17 at 4:30 AM when the tide is low. The clamming experience gets even better. Usually, the number of clams you can dig is limited to 15. However, due to “strong razor clam populations estimated ...,” this season the limit has been raised to 20! Enough for beer-battered dippers plus homemade clam chowder. See the following approved dates and low-tide times to clam dig at Mocrocks (Seabrook beach). Friday, 09/17 4:30 AM . Sunday, 09/19 6:06 AM . Tuesday, 09/21 7:21 AM . Thursday, 09/23 8:58 PM Rent gear and get a license at Buck’s Northwest or join in their packaged Clam Dig Experiences! With COVID still prevalent, WDFW asks us all to follow state and local health guidelines and be respectful of the communities and local residents while clamming. We’ll see you at the beach! wdfw.wa.gov 1
