Tip

One of the easiest tricks to ensure that your big day is as smooth and stress free as possible is to partner with a coordinator to make sure that your vision comes to life! If you are able to, it is always beneficial to bring on a Coordinator earlier in the process so they can help talk you through your ideas and create a strong vision that then can easily be converted to a reality!

You’ve got all the details down from the linen color, floral arrangements, seating chart design and thank you gifts, but one thing you may not have considered is pre-wedding gifts for one another before the ceremony. You spend so much time making everything special on your big day, why not treat each other with something special? Whether it is something to wear, a funny gag gift, or a heartfelt note, it creates a special moment to reminisce on your relationship and how much you mean to each other!

Always make sure to ask your venue if they have a preferred list of Coordinators before booking one for your big day. Using a Coordinator who is familiar with your venue and the Sales Team will help ensure better communication and bring in an already established relationship with plenty of already gained knowledge! The initial investment to bring on a Coordinator may seem like just an additional expense, but it quickly turns into one of the most valuable decisions you can make!

Vendor Highlight: Florals are a huge part of your wedding day. Whether it’s on your ceremony arch or centerpieces on your guest tables, florals set the mood of your wedding. One of the florists we highly recommend here at SeaCliff Country Club is Coty from Olivia’s Mum Floral Design. She is extremely organized, professional and is very flexible designing your vision! “In 2016 I decided I had to live my dream of becoming a floral designer. I graduated from a local floral design School located in Huntington Beach, CA and here I am today doing what I love—floral design and event styling for weddings and events. Throughout my life, I’ve been a creative person and have enjoyed the beauty that flowers brought to my life. Through flowers, I work to express the personalities of my clients and create the true essence of their wedding day. I seek out unique materials, research farms and various blooms tirelessly, to bring only the most exceptional blossoms and most unique vision to the table. I love the ocean, nature, my family and that is what inspires my designs each and every day!” Coty Draper

What’s Trending They don’t call them “Man’s Best Friend” for nothing, many venues now allow your four legged friends to take part in your ceremony! While it is usually not allowed for non-service animals to stick around for the reception portion of your event, make sure to ask if your venue has pet friendly Ceremony spaces. All that is usually required is a simple waiver and next thing you know your furry friend can be strutting down the aisle and taking their place alongside your wedding party!

Featured Wedding Maybel & Rob 8.18.18 I will never forget my first meeting with Maybel, Rob and Maybel’s mom during their details meeting. They are such kind, genuine people who were so excited to plan the wedding of their dreams! Maybel & Rob met in September of 2015 through the dating app, OkCupid. Faith had brought them together since they only had a 3% match rate but upon meeting knew they were soulmates. Rob proposed to Maybel on August 11, 2017 in their home in San Francisco, CA.

THE DETAILS: Since Maybel grew up in Orange County and Rob loves the ocean, their wedding details encompassed an elegant beach wedding. The brides bouquet was stunning and included pink peonies, hints of white roses and sprigs of bells of Ireland put together by the amazing Oceanic Flowers. The bride’s mom helped with a lot of their details, and even had Lechon, a traditional roasted pig! The cake had three tiers and embodied beautiful blue waves with hints of sparkling gold. All of the amazing details were captured by Sarah Mack , and looking through all of the images, you can feel the love and support Maybel and Rob have in their lives!

FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY: "Getting married to my best friend in front of all our friends and family who traveled from all over the world. We had guests from Dubai, Canada, Ireland, Massachusetts, San Francisco, San Jose, Indiana, Chicago, Seattle, Montana, Vermont, Florida, and Pennsylvania. It was a destination wedding for a majority of our guests, and many of them have never been to Huntington Beach before, much less Orange County. Rob and I felt proud to share this special place with everyone and show them a beautiful beach weekend in California. It was our dream wedding and the best day of our lives!” Thank you to Maybel & Rob for sharing your big day with us here at SeaCliff Country Club!
