Seaford Music Society
Seaford Music Society was looking forward to presenting another of its concerts at Seaford Baptist Church in January to a live audience, but unfortunately due to the pandemic this had to be cancelled at fairly short notice. We apologise to those who had already bought tickets and others who would have attended to listen for an hour of lovely music played by our wonderful musicians.
The society will be planning more concerts in due course, but with the situation as it is at present, dates for live concerts however can only be arranged as and when it is safe to do so. The committee is considering other methods of delivering concerts and musicians are ready and keen to play music to an audience if it can be made possible to do so. We should all have music in our lives. It brings people together, either if playing as a group or as an audience listening – what would life be like without music? Most of us will listen to music every day either on radio, television or from discs and records. Studies have shown that music is good for the soul – it can improve mood, health and wellbeing, reduce anxiety and helps with pain relief. The joy you can get from music will help lift your spirits, and for dementia sufferers it is suggested that communication with others improves after listening to music. For those who play musical instruments, either solo or with an orchestra, there is the feeling of fulfillment and pleasure that they are bringing joy and satisfaction both to themselves and to others.

The Society’s website will give information about further concerts and information: seafordmusicsociety. com in due course. We hope to welcome you back to live concerts very soon with more great music from our talented musicians.
The website is updated at regular intervals with information about when concerts will be organised and details of how tickets can be obtained.
