A First for Seaford’s Property Market

After last year’s first lockdown, we quickly realised the way people bought homes had changed forever.

And we knew that how we worked had to adapt to meet the rapidly changing needs of buyers and sellers. This was the main reason that last year we invested in a 3D, 360-degree camera and mapping software that allows people to take detailed virtual tours of homes they are interested in – from the comfort of their sofa.

It’s a very fancy piece of kit, but we see virtual tours as being a ‘must-have’ in the future as buyers and tenants become more tech-savvy. And we’re the first and only agents in Seaford currently using it.

Here’s how it works:

We visit your property, and using the special camera and computer software, we map out the home with a video tour which you can access and control from your device, be that a PC, tablet, or smartphone.

Why it works:

Creating a video tour that the viewer controls means you reduce in-person viewings. At first glance, that might seem odd as the old way of thinking was you need the maximum number of people viewing a property to create interest and demand.

This ‘get them through the doors quickly’ approach was the case before the lockdowns. But COVID-19 and the unstoppable rise of the internet has driven all of us in a digital direction that little bit more. Now it’s more a case of grabbing people’s online attention.

And our virtual tours do precisely that. As a result, we’ve noticed the number of online viewings for a property increase dramatically with a virtual tour that tells a much more detailed property story than a slideshow of photos.

If people are really interested in your property, they’ll then request a second viewing. This saves you time and hassle, and means those looking to buy your property are serious.
