inner wheel Summer Lunch with BBQ

Members of Inner Wheel were delighted to meet face to face as a group at the home of Co-President Janis Livingstone for a delicious Summer Lunch including a BBQ. The fantastic sunny weather, along with the excitement of being able to meet together, assisted in making the event such a success. In addition to a wide range of salads members enjoyed pulled pork and brisket with a variety of enticing deserts supplemented with glasses of Pimms!

The event enabled the outgoing Co-Presidents – Janis Livingstone and Ann Reed – the opportunity to present a gift on behalf of the Members to Norma Young who has carried the role of Secretary very efficiently for four years. Norma was thanked for the way she has carried out her role with efficiency and diligence, particularly during the past year.

Setting out the room, supplying their tablecloths, providing floral table decorations and welcoming guests were tasks happily carried out by Inner Wheel Members. This was in addition to serving a ‘proper’ Cornish cream tea following the Mayor’s Civic Service at Seaford Baptist Church. Inner Wheel Members were delighted to provide practical service to the community. The cream tea facilitated a generous donation for the Youth Counselling Project.
