From the moment I took my first architecture class,
I knew I had found a field that would become a lifelong passion. Architecture has enabled me to combine my natural ability to understand how a person feels in a space with my innate creativity. My education has exposed me to the process of integrated design and I am passionate about combining architecture, urbanism and sustainable design to create projects that are environmentally responsible and directly address clients needs, I relish the opportunity to work on designing spaces that enhance the wellbeing of the people in the space and stimulate the relationship between the occupants, the building and the surroundings, I am a self-motivated and hard-working individual and I thrive when participating in collaborative design. I’m eager to use my skills learned in school in the professional world and continue to develop my architectural knowledge.

Ile-de-France residents are increasingly worried about their health and that of their children, whose airways are fragile. One of the specificities of the future Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital station is to be precisely located less than 30 meters from the city’s major infrastructure. The objective of this project is to allow a consequent improvement of the quality of the air which benefits as much to the building itself as to its close environment. This ability is made possible by different devices, it is in particular of the depolluting materials, filtering chimneys and depolluting plants. Innovations must constitute a toolbox available to future projects directly or indirectly confronted with this type of nuisance. A new model is proposed, a new way of building that concretely integrates one of the central public health issues. This project takes place on a constituted site, with strong characteristics (topography, opening to the landscape ...), and carrier of large projects. (Hospital, station, forecourt, green ribbon, southwestern town entrance ...). It is around these great local characteristics that it is built.

Rehabilitate a site like the « Hôtel de Fourcy » means on the first hand transmitting its cultural heritage and on the other hand bringing acceptable changes that will adapt to the norms and challenges of the 21st century. Built during the 17th century, the building shows many historical layers, nested, embedded and cleared over time. Those layers made it quite difficult to read the building with an actual perspective. What is to be preserved, revisited, left this way, put another way, and what is to be delivered to future generations? What new use could fit properly into the frame without dismantling it? And what flexibility offer to the future residents in a protected historic monument? Far from the elitist image of the « Place des Vosges », the « Colonie d’Artistes » is to be very accessible to a large audience. Parisians, tourists, transients as well as newcomers will be able to meet along artistic topics, whether it is during a coffee break, an exhibition, an opening or even for a longer period of time for the co-workers. And whether it takes place in the basements, the corridors, the patio or the former stables, each location connected to the building is showcased, useful and opened to a various audience. HAMLET OF THE CROSSINGS Architect - Developer Competition

This operation represents a very particular interest for its emblematic character of an ambition to find a habitat attentive to its built environment in collusion with a bucolic nature. The stakes of such an urban project lie in the necessary adequacy between a remarkable site, an ambitious urbanism and architectural projects which we expect here to reveal a certain idea of contemporary life in urban practices , the relationship with nature only in the private uses of spaces. Diversity, autonomy and belonging to a neighborhood are for us the essential factors for good spatial and functional coherence.

From a technical zone to a landscape

New York sports hub: a park with its own identity which, until today, had never existed in New York. In contrary to Manhattan’s waterfront, a high dense district full of residential high rises and offices, to Brooklyn’s Waterfront and to a part of Queens, where lots are occupied by private operations and narrow parks, the new sports park in West Queens will represent a new space of sociability around sport and well-being Taking advantage if its potentials, the site’s strategic location will recreate, through the project, a connection between the Queens and the East River. The strategy is summarized by the preservation of the void in a context of strong real estate pressure and the creation of collective programs and public facilities, in a neighborhood where the real estate programs are closed on themselves. In relation to New York’s large scale, such as the very famous Central Park and the Riverside Park that plays with the infrastructure, this sports park is perceived as one territorial unit. An experimental program combining sports activities with others, which revolve around leisure and communal facilities, creating a network of equipment serving the land. The dynamics of this island-park is the requalification of the great structure of western Queens. All along the park, the adjoining structures will mutate into mixed office, residential and commercial buildings that host cafÊ-restaurants, creating a vibrant atmosphere in western Queens. This project is searching for an effective connection between Manhattan and Roosevelt Island from the extension of the cableway. Improving the transportation infrastructure favors the openness of West Queens to the public. This extension is realized through the Hub by hosting the connection with the cableway, a multi-sports complex pole, a health and well-being pole, and a parking. This program will introduce a new young spirit in a previously inaccessible trench of the city, which today represents an empty and forgotten space. The Queens is today an urban experimentation space in which the city serves as a laboratory in order to test diverse theories, with an intention of reinventing a contemporary lifestyle. This territory of intervention must protect the inhabitants of the private operations that occupy the Brooklyn Waterfront and which now start a part of Long Island City in Queens.

Residential complex, Fih el Koura, Lebanon
This studio focuses on the manipulation in the project of knowledge specific to the distribution, partition, types, groupings, the variation of the scale in the more general framework of a social conscience of the role of housing architecture in its urban dimension. The student must design a housing complex of 100 units in a complex site at Fih l Koura. The Fih el Koura site has several constraints, the major one is the steep terrain. In addition, we have the constraint of the number of apartments and studios to be designed in a limited urban local plan, or the difficulty of vertical operation is well determined. The project I designed is a structure of 5 x 5 m reinforced concrete frame that grows according to the need and size of the types requested. This project aims to promote the mix, we can also have family units as we can have studios for students of the university that is near our site in a rural context (Balamand University). Positioning to connect an entire structure and not having a separation between units. The common space is sometimes by common activities, circulation, green space, fitness, or small business. In terms of materials, the project is entirely made of gray reinforced concrete that is in contrast with the surroundings to intensify this natural green space.

DIGITAL FABRICATION Digital knowledge, Paris
In this workshop we generative forms through computational design, starting by 2D grid patterns. Using Kangaroo, a Physics Engine of Grasshopper, we explored and simulated the emergence of different formations of an elastic lattice. By extracting the desired state of the aforementioned system we moved on to the materialization of this form, using modular laser cut units connected by “smart� joints. The challenge was to work with a nonstructural material as plexiglass and find ways to boost its stiffness. Therefore, we went through a series of material experimentation, including heat bending techniques. The final result is a 1:1 lightweight exhibition stand. Consequently, the detailed geometry and the material system of the joint will allow or prevent the elasticity of the form, embedding in the physical structure the properties of the computational process followed for its generation.

UTOPIA : Inside Out
MANHATTAN, NYC, USA (1820-1890)
This project questions the phenomenon of secession by focusing on the issue of flows. This device is integrated in Manhattan, for its urban configuration which is defined by a frame of circulation almost regular, rectilinear and for its insular form which returns to the idea of the isolation. The history of this city is also peculiar, marked by significant population movements. Between 1820 and 1890, more than ten million immigrants settled in the New York City. “Ethnic” neighborhoods are forming and internal flows are adding to this with the installation of African-Americans. Each community has developed its self-help networks, associations and newspapers. This fragile social equilibrium is then shaken by the American civil war. From July 13 to 16, 1863, for several days, thousands of rioters, mostly Irish immigrants impoverished and exasperated by the new bill on conscription, sweeping the city, looting, burning and killing. Conscription laws quickly turn to racial pogrom. To regain control of the city, the President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln sent several regiments of militia and volunteers. The army finally manages to control the crowd after three days of unrest, but many buildings are ransacked or destroyed. The device is then based on a series of walls, following the existing streets of the city. These axes will determine new spaces, intersecting and / or cutting the frames. Transport infrastructures are made up of different levels of circulation, the heights and materials of which vary according to their use (stone on the ground floor and cast iron for the floors). The territory is divided in two: vertically by the functional character of the device (circulation), then horizontally with a territory divided on the ground, by the walls (neighborhoods). The city is gaining height and volume, with the notion of stratification of traffic routes. This new architecture then gives the illusion of being inhabited and at the same time raises the debate of a sort of hierarchy within a society.

Architectural studies are rich and open to the wor-
ld, and give us skills that do not limit our practice only to the job of architect. I feel that it is in this sense that I will feed my professional future. In my years of study, I understood that urbanism is deeper than a simple large scale and that it is a matter of every inch. My recent projects in USEK, ENSAPM, even my FYP, insured me that I find myself growing in the field of scale. Each project is related only to its own constraints, which makes each time a rare project, unique here and not elsewhere. I take each project as a competition for myself and I try to reach a maximum result that pleases both the user and the designer. My degrees in architecture are just an introduction to my professional life. I am looking forward become more and more mature in my reflections. Every year, I look at my old projects knowing that today I am able to present them in a more specialist and professional way.
