ITINERARY Our 4 day Fully Escorted Tour of Kangaroo Island will showcase many of the unforgettable highlights that Kangaroo Island has to offer.
Day 1 Depart this morning from Franklin Street Bus Terminal via the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis where we board the SeaLink Ferry to Kangaroo Island. Highlights today include a drive to Frenchman’s Rock, a visit to the historic Maritime & Folk Museum and Visitors Centre before enjoying lunch overlooking the Gulf, at the Penneshaw Hotel. This afternoon we drive to Cape Willoughby, the first lighthouse built in SA in 1852 before our visit to see prominent local art works and crafts at the KI Artworks Gallery at Baudin Beach. We enjoy a short tour of the township of Kingscote before settling into our accommodation for the next 3 nights. Enjoy dinner this evening with our group.
+ Seal Bay Conservation Park
Day 2 After breakfast, we travel to famous Seal Bay to join our guide for a walk through a wild seal colony that is home to around 600 rare Australian Sea Lions. We then enjoy an amazing interactive, educational and highly entertaining display at the ‘Raptor Domain, Birds of Prey’ Show. We travel via Point Ellen to witness spectacular views of the Southern Ocean before our lunch stop at the bistro at Vivonne Bay (named Australia’s best beach). After lunch we visit SA’s first sheep dairy and cheese factory - Island Pure Sheep Dairy where we witness sheep being milked and taste some of their world class dairy products. Our tour then travels to the picturesque surroundings of the Bay of Shoals Winery to taste some of their quality wines and admire the distant vistas of the North Cape and postcard views of Bay of Shoals. Tonight we enjoy dinner with our group.

Day 3 After breakfast, we travel to the natural rugged beauty of Flinders Chase National Park. Our first stop is the Visitor Centre before travelling through the park to spectacular Remarkable Rocks. We travel onto Cape du Couedic Lighthouse, built in 1906 and the natural land bridge that is Admirals Arch where we will see New Zealand fur seals. Our lunch today is at Andermel Marron, renowned as one of the largest best practice marron farms in Australia. We also tour the breeding and holding ponds to learn about their life cycle and the operational aspects of a modern marron farm with time to sample their Two Wheeler Creek wines and Bush Tucker products. This afternoon we also visit the working studio and gallery of award winning Australian artist, Neil ‘Shep’ Sheppard at Shep’s Studio with time to browse and enjoy his work. On arrival back into Kingscote, there will be free time to wander the main street, enjoy a walk along the esplanade or just relax at the Hotel before joining our group for dinner this evening.

Day 4 After breakfast, we depart Kingscote for our scenic drive to Penneshaw to depart on the SeaLink Ferry to Cape Jervis. From Cape Jervis we travel via the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula visiting Horseshoe Bay lookout to see spectacular views over the bay and some free time to explore Victor Harbor. Our tour continues back into Adelaide via the picturesque Southern Vales.

We arrive at the Franklin Street Bus Terminal this afternoon, having made wonderful new friendships and full of great memories of our Kangaroo Island experience. Terms and conditions: A deposit of $200 is required at the time of the booking. Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days prior to departure, subject to availability, will require immediate payment. Credit card payment may incur a surcharge.
