About Me
I graduated in Applied Art from College of Art, New Delhi in 2010 and have been exploring the realms of visual communication both at professional and individual levels since then.
My aim is to think differently and attain refinement in everything I undertake. I served as the ‘Head Girl’ in my school (Somerville, Noida) and won accolades in college as well.
Socially conscious issues move me and I wish to reflect the reality in my actions too! India allures me and I desire to capture its essence by knowing more about traditional crafts, art and culture, history and heritage.
The most challenging aspect is to be able to communicate through a creative visual medium that works as a problem solver for everyone and transcends over culture, language and illiteracy at a local and global level.
I become more clear with each passing day and even more clueless finding the right way...!
I have always been in search of knowledge and hope that this passion to learn never dies!
I am keen on doing experimental and research based work in these areas of interest.
Visual Communication is a dynamic field with enormous scope of expression and abundant variety in subject areas.

Certain elements and typeface from the identity of the parent body were adopted to suggest connection and a parallel fresh route was also undetaken. Output Option1 depicts a ‘gateway’ to Kashmiri crafts where the buyer can direct contact the registered artisans online; Option2 shows Handmade Kashmir as the ‘core’ of crafts; Option3 depicts the ‘beauty and intricacy’ through embroidery style; Option4 inspired by the woodwork pattern conveys ‘expansion’ of industry via this newly formed body. Challenges To create an option linked to the parent body was actually an unusual task in itself which highlighted the need of system design. The overall process followed was highly interesting and enjoyable!
Identity and Stationery Design
SHIVI PAL Self- promotion College of Art - Delhi , B.F.A. Second year - 2008
The task was to create your own identity using the initial alphabets of your first and last name which could be used for self-branding across various collaterals. The identity appears feminine, ornate and simple like me! Its composition is inspired from the face of ‘lord Ganesha’ as alphabet ‘s’ forms his tusk and ‘p’ depicts one eye. The usage of the same will prove to be auspicious and help obstruct obstacles in any professional work. I worked on a color palette reflecting the shades of my personality which was further applied on the identity and stationery as well.

In some of the examples shown here both male and female structures have been explored using different mediums. Impact of age and gender on anatomy was well understood during these sessions. Interesting exercises like moving beyond realism to abstract style using shapes and giving the models a completely different new cultural identity were carried with great enthusiasm.

CHILD RIGHTS AND YOU, DELHI Non-profit organisation
I often feel sad seeing kids begging on road or selling flowers and books at an age where they should be given the freedom to live, learn, play and grow. The urge to take an action brought me closer to CRY and I was serving as a volunteer since June 2011 but became inactive in 2012 as I moved out of Delhi to pursue my masters. I was involved in creative help that includes ideating for events, interaction design and even photography revolving around the world of child rights no matter wherever you go!
