As a Fair Board, we wanted to thank all the local businesses that participated this year in our 2017 Fremont County Fair Guide. We hope that you find the information within these pages useful as you navigate through all the different, fun and exciting events planned for the fair this year. We also want to point out that this fair guide was made possible by the support of local businesses, big and small. If possible, it would be great to go out, visit and support them. This will help ensure future guides to come. When we shop locally, we not only help our local businesses but more important we grow our community. Here are a few ways you can help support our local businesses: 1. Visit the local businesses published in this ad 2. The 4-H Market Livestock Sale 3. Come to the fair and support the commercial vendors. The fair is a fun and exciting time for our community. It's where hard work and preparation come together to provide a fun-filled week. Talents are shown, stalls are cleaned, and an aliveness all around can be felt. We hope you come out and see what all the fuss is about. See you at the fair!

Welcome
TO THE
COUNTY FAIR
The Fremont County Fair will be held August 7th-15 at the Fremont County Fair Grounds. The County Fair is just around the corner, and it couldn't be more exciting! There truly is Magic in the Fair when you witness the community come together and celebrate and enjoy the success of the 4-H and FFA student, the open class competition, youth rodeo, live
entertainment and so much more! This fair is truly for the community, by the community. As a Fair Board, we asked you to cast your votes and choose the theme for this year. After all the votes were tallied, "There is Magic at the Fair" was the champion. We hope that you
enjoy the fair this year. It is because of you, the community, support of local businesses and countless volunteer hours that makes all of this possible. There is something at the fair for everyone. We can tell this is going to be our best year yet. We look forward to seeing you at the fair!

2017 Youth Rodeo The Youth Rodeo is always fun to watch
as our local kids participate in events such as Mutton Busting, Calf Riding, Goat Tying, Roping, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, and Sheep Dressing. The rodeo will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with the presentation of the American Flags done by young riders from our community. There will be a calf scramble for any children wanting to participate; as well as some Rodeo Clowns with prizes to throw at you as you watch little cowboys and cowgirls compete for a chance at some prizes and money. Sheep Dressing is a new event that was added last year. This event was exciting to watch! Teams of 3, ages 7-14, must bring a sheep halter, hat, shirt, bandana, and tutu or skirt to dress a sheep. The first team to cross in front of the judge with all items on their sheep wins! Come support the children in our community and enjoy the fair while you’re at it! FAIR SHIRTS ARE BACK! They're BACK! Last year the Fair Board decided to try out a fun new game: The Great Fair Shirt Scavenger Hunt. It was such a hit that it's been brought back again for another exciting round. The rules are simple! Each day at the fair a limited number of shirts will be hidden throughout the fairgrounds. If you find one, all you have to do is snap a picture with your prize, post it on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and use the hashtag #FCFSHIRT. That's it! After that, the shirt is all yours!
One of last years fair shirt scavenger hunt winners.
We'd like to thank the sponsors on the back of our Fair Shirts for their support in making this fun tradition possible.

4-H & FFA Livestock Market Sale One of the crowning events for the County Fair is the 4-H Livestock Market Sale. Every year 4-H student selects a new project that can range from sewing to raising a livestock animal. Their projects help them learn important lessons and skills such as cost analysis, project management, responsibility, and record keeping. Here 4-H students sell their animals. There is no shortage of
excitement in the air once the auction starts and the auctioneer begin the bidding. If you have wondered about how you can help support these students in their efforts, purchasing their animal is the best. You can even go in it together with another friend or family. The animal you purchase is of top quality and has the ability to feed you and your family for months to come.
Make sure to remember to come to the Sale on Saturday, August 12th at 12:00 pm. You won't want to miss it!
