On Coffee And Dew

By Annabelle Burg i am okay. today i am okay because i woke up. yesterday i didn’t want to wake up the morning came too soon honey light streaming onto blue walls hitting my face my sleep-filled eyes falling closed again after just a moment of consciousness. but today i am okay today i am okay because i got some coffee and sometimes coffee makes things okay and today i am okay because today the coffee was hot and fresh but two days ago it was cold and the world was frigid and dark as the depths of a lake plagued by the ice of winter and i didn’t know what the hell to do. tomorrow will be a day. so far it’s unknown what may happen. unknown the state of my okay-ness.
