What They Do: The Nature Consortium fosters vibrant communities and inspires people in the Puget Sound area through art and environmental action. They provide year-round youth art classes, urban forest restoration and the annual Arts in Nature Festival.

Families can help with food distribution at the Food Bank as well as sorting and repackaging bulk items and food drives.

Ages 9 and older Northwest Harvest is the only nonprofit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington with 375 food banks, meal programs and high-need schools. They provide more than 2 million meals every month. Families can help in the Kent warehouse sorting and repackaging bulk food. At the Cherry Street Food Bank, volunteers sort and distribute food and make sandwiches for the sack lunch program.

Ages 6 and older Treehouse provides academic and other support for more than 7,000 youth in foster care across Washington State. They also manage The Wearhouse, a free store that provides youth with clothing, shoes, school supplies and toys.
