Celebrating 25 Years OF MUSIC & MEMORIES AT BENAROYA HALL
DID YOU KNOW? With approximately 500,000 visitors attending 450+ events per year, Benaroya Hall is Seattle’s most visited performing arts venue. Benaroya Hall is home to three distinct performance spaces: the 2,500-seat S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium, the 540-seat Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall and Octave 9, a state-of-the-art flexible multimedia space. The paneling in the Taper Auditorium was built from wood harvested from a single South African mahogany tree. The Taper Auditorium was built as a “box within a box,” completely isolated from the sounds of University Street Station below it using concrete and rubber bearings.
